The Ravens only lost one game by a big margin, to the New York Giants, and to me that means that Baltimore is the better team. Tennessee does get Albert Haynesworth back on the D-Line but will that be enough? I don’t think so. I’m penciling the Ravens into the AFC Championship no matter what. Can the San Diego Chargers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers? If their 11 to 10 loss to Pitt earlier this season is any indication, then, yes, they can. The Chargers defense kept MVP Peyton Manning and that excellent Colts’ offense pretty much in check the entire game. The Chargers have a shot. At + 600 this is an excellent online bet to consider.
2. Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers – – online betting odds + 220 – – Again, I’m going off the assumption that the Ravens beat the Titans straight-up on the road. It was Tennessee that was faltering towards the end of the season while the Ravens were getting very good by securing a road victory over the Dallas Cowboys and beating up on the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins. The Pittsburgh Steelers should beat the San Diego Chargers, right? I’m not so sure about that but + 220 is a very good price on this match-up because the chances of it happening are good.
NFC Conference
1. Carolina Panthers vs. New York Giants – – online betting odds – 125 – – I don’t like the BetUS online sportsbook wagering odds in this match-up but does any NFL betting fan see something else happening here? Really? The Carolina Panthers shouldn’t lose to an Arizona Cardinals team that is still learning how to win and the New York Giants are just too solid on both offense and defense to drop a second game to the Philadelphia Eagles this season. The G-Men also will have a healthy Brandon Jacobs in this game which is something they didn’t have the last time they played Philly, a 20 to 14 loss. The Panthers got a week to rest and they are super solid at home. I just don’t see either team losing which means this is the online prop bet wager to make in the NFC. Take the – 125 and just be happy that the online odds aren’t – 200.
2. Carolina Panthers vs. Philadelphia Eagles – – online betting odds + 200 – – The Panthers would have had a seriously difficult game against the Atlanta Falcons. The Arizona Cardinals? Not so much. The Panthers defense will shut down the Cardinals’ run game, which was instrumental in Arizona’s victory over the Falcons last Saturday, and beat the Cardinals easily in their game. The Eagles have an outside shot to beat the Giants. I’m not particularly sold on the Eagles against the reigning Super Bowl Champions but if there is going to be an upset this weekend in the NFC Divisional Playoffs, it will be the Philadelphia Eagles, who know their opponent well, over the New York Giants. Is this online bet worth making? Maybe…as a saver against some of the other online prop bets available.
