More Final Four Prop Betting
The Final Four prop wagering options just keep coming, as another wave has been added over the last few days.
The latest group of prop wagers put up by SPORTSBETTING.com includes the head-to-head game matchups. Bettors have been pouring over these options, taking their shots on several of them.
Setting the table: the matchups this Saturday (as if you didn’t know) have the Michigan State Spartans playing the UConn Huskies with UConn favored by 4.5-points and an Over/Under number of 134. The second game of the day pits Villanova vs. the North Carolina Tar Heels with UNC listed at -7 and the O/U set at 159.5.
“Team to Score First”
One of the more popular prop wagers in the Michigan St.-UConn game, is the “Team to Score First” prop play. MSU is listed at -110 to hit the scoreboard first, while the Huskies are -120.
The players at SPORTSBETTING.com have given UConn the nod here, as 73% of all the action on this wager has been made on the Huskies.
Handicapping this one, there is no real edge to be found so far in the tournament, as Michigan State’s four tournament games this season have seen them on the board first three times, and the same goes for Connecticut in its four games.
“Total Number of 3-Pointers by Both Teams”
Another Spartans-Huskies game-related proposition is a Total for three-pointers made by both teams, which is set at 9.5.
In the tournament thus far, Michigan State has connected on 40.4% of its three-point shots going 23 of 57 while UConn is cold from three-point range only making 29.6% of its treys (16 of 54).
Players have been betting the “Over” 9.5 at a clip of 61% so far.
“Team Total Points”
There are also separate Total Points for both teams.
The Over/Under for Michigan State is set at 65 and the Spartans could well go Over as they have averaged 70.5 points per game in this year’s tournament.
69 is what the O/U is set at for UConn in this particular wager and of all the teams that made the March Madness tourney, the Huskies are the second-highest scoring team averaging 87.3 ppg.

– In terms of the Villanova Wildcats, North Carolina Tar Heels props, there is the “Team to Score Last” prop.
‘Nova is listed at -110 and UNC at -120.
The Tar Heels have made the last baskets in two of its four tournament games and the same for the Wildcats. However, it looks like sports bettors feel that North Carolina will have a nice lead at the end of the game and that Villanova will be forced to foul and put the Tar Heels on the line in the dying seconds of the game, as they are betting on UNC at a 78% clip so far in this one.
“Team Total Points”
In terms of the Team Total Points wager, the Over/Under for the Wildcats is set at 76.5, while the Tar Heels had an 83.5 hung on them.
A Total of 83.5 might seem like a lot for a college team but the North Carolina Tar Heels have averaged 88.8 points in their four March Madness games and they are the highest scoring team in the tournament.
Villanova isn’t far behind the Tar Heels, as March Madness’ fourth highest scoring team, averaging 81 points a game.
