The biggest day on the NFL betting calendar, Super Bowl Sunday, is just around the corner, but who says you have to wait for the big day to place your bets when there are Super Bowl futures already available?

Right now at BetUS you can wager on who you think is going to claim the Vince Lombardi Trophy, and which two teams will fight for it in Tampa on February 1. The most recent NFL odds have the Pittsburgh Steelers as the Super Bowl favorites at +140. That shouldn’t be a surprise considering the Steelers are the highest-seeded team still standing and they have the top-ranked defense in the league.

It has been proven in the last few years that you need a solid defense to win a championship. At least two of the other three remaining Super Bowl contenders fall into that category, as both Philadelphia and Baltimore have some defensive prowess. The Eagles, who are the hottest team in the NFL right now, follow Pittsburgh on the NFL odds list at +200, while the surging Ravens cash in at +400. The big underdog right now is Arizona at +550. The Cardinals may not be getting much respect right now, but if they play Philly as tough as they played Carolina last week they could surprise once again.

When it comes to the Super Bowl matchup the NFL odds favorite is an all-Pennsylvania battle between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. A Steelers/Eagles Super Bowl would pay off at +110. Seeing how the Eagles and Steelers were two of the least-scored-against defenses in the league, points could be hard to come by in that Super Bowl matchup.

Even though the Cardinals are the underdogs on the Super Bowl futures list a game between Arizona and Pittsburgh is second on the matchup list at +250. The Cardinals versus the Steelers in Tampa Bay in February is what everyone expected in September though, right?

The remaining possible matchups are Philadelphia versus Baltimore at +375 and the supposed longshot, Arizona versus Baltimore at +700. If either one of those unlikely scenarios plays out bettors could pad their bankroll before the big game.
