The Hawks are beginning to raise some eyebrows within the Eastern Conference. While some questioned whether or not the Hawks fast start was a fluke, Atlanta has won 10 of 11 and find themselves in 3rd place of the Eastern Conference standings. Atlanta sits just 1 game behind the Washington Wizards for 1st place in the NBA Southeast division.

When breaking down the Hawks, they win games by sharing the basketball and stepping up on the defensive end. Atlanta ranks 3rd in the league in assists per game (25.4) and 8th overall in points against (96.9). A big reason why Atlanta ranks 8th overall in points against is due to the fact that they are holding teams to just 44.3 percent shooting from the field.

In terms of offense, Atlanta ranks 14th overall with 102.0 points a game. All five of the Hawks’ starters are currently averaging double digit points a game. Cleveland

Following 2 straight losses to end their road trip, Cleveland came back home and found their groove in a 97-88 win over Charlotte.

Lebron James led the way with 27 points to go along with 13 assists. Cleveland has won 6 straight inside Quicken Loans Arena and are knocking off opponents by more than 14 points points during this current winning streak.

While Lebron and Kyrie carried the load in the early part of the season, having Kevin Love step up considerably has been a major key for the Cavaliers.

Kevin Love recorded a double-double against the Hornets going for 22 points and 18 rebounds. Love has had double-doubles in 7 of the teams last 9 games. At home this season, Love has played much better scoring more than 4 points a game compared to the road.

With their current 6 game home winning streak, Cleveland now holds an 8-4 S.U. record inside the Q. They’re scoring 104.7 points a game while just allowing 96.9 points.

The Cavaliers are expected to get SF Mike Miller back in the line up Wednesday night.
