Well, the rich just keep getting richer and unfortunately, the poor just keep getting poorer in the world of the NHL. This week there is little change at the top and at the bottom but there is some differences in the middle of the pack.
While the Heat players spend their days on the Miami beaches and then crush their opponents at night, a few hundred miles to the north a different Florida scenario is playing itself out.
The PGA TOUR moves to Orlando this week for the final stop on the Florida swing. Bay Hill hosts the pros this week and welcomes them with uber-slick greens, wind and length. It all adds up to being one of the most difficult Par 72 stops on TOUR.
Basketball in the West often gets a bad wrap. They aren’t all in this region but teams from the PAC 12, MWC, WCC and pretty well represented. Heck one of them even got a #1 seed. For me this is the lightest bracket of them all and not because Gonzaga is at the top.

Two teams that everyone was looking at in the Eastern Conference before the season started as favorites take to the ice Tuesday night with very different feelings about where they sit half way through the season. For the Penguins, they will try to build off an impressive nine game win streak and for the Caps they are just trying to give themselves a shot at making the playoffs this year.
It isn’t March Madness unless there are some upsets. Funnily enough this is where the Vegas set is often ahead of the game, making high number seeds the favourite in some situations.All the predictions below are based on seed number upsets not any sort of power rankings.

The Kansas Jayhawks are the top seed in the South Region of this year’s NCAA Tournament Bracket. Kansas finished at the top of the Big 12 in the regular season, and they went on to win the Big 12 Tournament title as well. Most experts believe the South Region is one of the easiest in this year’s bracket.
The Louisville Cardinals were given the number one overall seed in this year’s March Madness Bracket by the selection committee. What was their reward for being the top overall seed? Somehow it seems like the Cardinals have been given the toughest region loaded with perennial powerhouses that normally have a lot of success in the NCAA Tournament.
The Seattle Mariners have struggled the last few years just to field a competitive team. They have two 100+ loss seasons in the last three years and going into 2013 it is difficult to see how this team improved in the offseason.
Headline: Eastern Conference Outsiders – Flyers vs. Lightning With Playoff Spot in Sight
Two of the more disappointing teams in the Eastern Conference meet in Tampa Bay on Monday night as the Philadelphia Flyers and the Tampa Bay Lightning try to make up a little ground on the top eight in the East – the Flyers are currently six points back of eighth and the Lightning sit eight points out of the final playoff spot.
Because the talent divide in the NBA is so great, long winning streaks are possible. Talent almost always wins out, and on occasion a superstar call in the finals seconds assures that the underdog won’t be able to pull off an upset.
Blazers set to take on the road
It’s obvious that the Portland Trail Blazers are still playing to win. They currently sit three games behind the Los Angeles Lakers for the 8th and final spot of the Western Conference Playoffs.
