South Carolina (6-0) won a big game last week beating a top 10 team in Georgia and now face LSU (5-1) at home. The Tigers are still in the top 10, but they lost last week to Florida where their offense was shut down only scoring 6 points.
This match up was supposed to take place in the first game of the season, but it was postponed and now Texas A&M (4-1) and Louisiana Tech (5-0) are ranked. The Aggies have won 10 straight in this series and they are solid on both sides of the ball.
Florida (5-0) is coming off a HUGE win over LSU and after facing Vanderbilt (2-3) they face the ranked teams of Georgia and South Carolina. The Gators cannot overlook Vanderbilt, as they are at home and are coming off a solid SEC win over Missouri.
The Florida State Seminoles are coming off a shocking loss last week to the North Carolina State Wolfpack, and with their loss came the realization that the BCS National Championship might not be in their immediate future.
The California Golden Bears and the Washington State Cougars are having underwhelming seasons, but the team from Berkeley, Calif. is the one coming off a big victory. The Golden Bears took down the No. 25 UCLA Bruins 43-17, while the Cougars failed to keep up with the Beavers in Corvallis, Ore.
The USC Trojans and Washington Huskies both struggled early in their week six matchup, but the difference is, only one of them made a storming comeback. The Trojans are coming off a victory that saw them recover after being down 21-10, while the Huskies trailed 21-0 in the first quarter and lost by 31 points.
Stop the presses, Fresno State is 6-0 ATS this season. Clearly they are doing much better than expected, including playing Oregon closer than anybody else (sort of…they backed into a cover after being down 35-6).
