The Betting Numbers
Georgia Tech opened as a 3.5-point favorite at most shops with a scattering of a few at -4 as well as a couple at -2.5. Right away, there was a perfect middling opportunity for those who were able get those numbers. The number has now settled in between -4 to -4.5 and there has been very little movement over the last two weeks. We could see this number increase as we get closer to kickoff. There has been a lot of recent movement in the total however as the opening number of 49 and 50 stayed put for a while but has gone up to as much as 53 in some outlets over the last week.
Kudos to Jerry Kill, the first-year Northern Illinois coach who took a team that was 2-10 last year and turned it around somewhat, guiding the Huskies to a 6-6 record in the same year one of its alums, Michael Turner, became one of the most valuable players in the National Football League.
The Jets are going so bad right now that they managed to gain just 265 yards in last week’s pitiful loss at Seattle. Brett Favre, who’s been intercepted 19 times this season, was just 18 for 31 and suffered four sacks.
Miami Dolphins at New York Jets
BetUS NFL betting odds: N.Y. JETS -2.5, Total 42
Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints (+3)
Last week, the Carolina Panthers were playing for the right to clinch the top seeding in the NFC. This week, if they lose, they can fall all the way down to the No. 5 seed in the conference.
The Panthers take their potent running game on the road to New Orleans as they try to topple a team that doesn’t have anything to play for. The Saints have been eliminated from postseason contention and aren’t playing for much more than pride and Drew Brees’ record.
BetUS Sportsbook bettors who follow pro football know that the New York Giants (12-3 SU, 11-4 ATS) have clinched home field advantage in the NFC playoffs. The Minnesota Vikings (9-6 SU, 6-9 ATS) can clinch a spot in the playoffs with a win when these two teams get together in Sunday’s NFL betting action that is scheduled to get underway at 1 PM ET at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome (artificial turf) in Minneapolis.
The Bears tried to kill themselves last week, showing even less imagination of offense than they normally do, but they stayed with it and took advantage of Packer mistakes to keep themselves alive for another week.
They also had some incredible luck.
Will that luck continue, as Chicago heads into the final week having to win, and hope for Minnesota and/or other teams to stumble?

This year’s Meineke Car Care Bowl features an interesting sports betting match-up between two teams expected to challenge for their conference championships this year in the North Carolina Tar Heels (8-4 SU, 6-5 ATS) and the West Virginia Mountaineers (8-4 SU, 4-7 ATS). North Carolina saw its chances for a conference championship dim quickly after losing starting QB T.J. Yates in the third game of the season in a 20-17 NCAA wagering loss to Virginia Tech.
BetUS NCAA Basketball Sports Betting Matchup:
Miami Hurricanes (7-3 SU, 4-3 ATS) at St. John’s Red Storm (9-2 SU, 3-2-1 ATS)
Madison Square Garden, New York – Noon ET
Here are some of the NCAA basketball sports betting trends as they relate to this matchup:
* MIA has won five of its last seven games SU
* MIA has lost five of its last six road games SU
* MIA has played four of its last six road games OVER the total
The West Virginia Mountaineers travel to Ohio to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in a game that could have consequences down the road. West Virginia only has 2 losses on the season, but sports betting fans have to realize that the conference that West Virginia plays out of, the Big East, is loaded with good teams.
BetUS NBA sports betting fanatics looking to increase their seasonal pro basketball betting bankroll, will get a boost with their wagering selections with this informative NBA Saturday 4X4 of NBA Free Picks.
With a nearly full slate of NBA action taking place this weekend, BetUS NBA Sportsbook bettors everywhere will be well on their way toward making some winning NBA wagers in the BetUS Sportsbook.
Obviously the Chargers are a testament to the “never say die” attitude, as they looked well out of the division race but were playing hard anyway, just in case Denver would falter. The Broncos, not being a very good team, did just that. So that opens things up for a winner-take-all showdown that will decide the AFC West title, and will be the “Flex game” that NBC televises on Sunday night.

This line has stayed pretty stable since Nevada opened as a one-point favorite. There has been some recent movement but that has been just a half-point in the Terrapins favor as they are getting 1.5-points in most places. However, doing some shopping will get you two points and there probably isn’t going to be much more movement in this one.
