UL-Monroe (6-4 SU, 4-5 ATS) has problems on defense under a new defensive coordinator, who brought in a 3-3-5 look, but they allow 30 ppg. They beat Florida International, but allowed 35 points and 394 yards (314 passing), and allowed 383 yards (195 rushing) in Saturday’s 21-18 win over a terrible Western Kentucky team. Rickey Bustle’s (5-5) UL Lafayette is a decent squad that had to play LSU and Nebraska – both on the road! But they also impressed in a 17-15 win at Kansas State. All five starters back on the offensive line, so it is a run-oriented attack with new soph QB Chris Masson (8 TDs, 8 picks). They are home after a three game conference road trip. They had a tough 20-17 OT loss at Florida International, despite 254 passing yards from Masson, a 21-18 win at Arkansas State, rolling up 376 yards, and Saturday’s 34-17 loss at Middle Tennessee State. An excellent spot for the home dog. Play UL-Lafayette.

NCAA-B | Nov 19, 2009 North Carolina vs. Ohio State
A neutral site game between two marquee college basketball programs at New York's Madison Square Garden. The North Carolina Tar Heels come in to the semifinal in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic as the defending national champions but with an almost entirely different team, with only two players on the roster that logged significant minutes in April's championship game against Michigan State. North Carolina's 12-man rotation includes five freshmen, while the Ohio State Buckeyes have no freshmen this season. When they went to Madison Square Garden for an early season tournament two years ago in the preseason NIT, the Buckeyes were all about wide-eyed freshmen. Neither team has bene tested, but we do know Ohio State plays awesome defense, as usual, allowing 52 ppg. The Buckeyes (2-0) expect center Dallas Lauderdale to contribute more after sitting out the first game of the season and playing 13 minutes off the bench in the second game while working his way back from a broken bone in his right hand. He is a key since North Carolina features six players taller than 6-8. Play Ohio State.

Thursday Night Game of the Month: Dolphins.
The Dolphins (4-5 SU/ATS) are 4-2 SU/ATS the last six games under second-year QB Chad Henne. The offense is still a ball control style, with a short, safe passing game mixed in with the Wildcat. The running game is ranked 3rd in the NFL. Though RB Ronnie Brown is out, they have excellent dedpth with RB Ricky Williams and rookie Pat White out of the Wildcat. They come off a 25-23 win over Tampa Bay with 199 rush yards. Tony Sporano, who learned under Bill Parcells, is a terrific coach and knows how to prepare a team. They could have caved in when Chad Pennington went down, but they didn't. Two problems for Carolina are that the offense is turnover prone while the defense is terrible against the run, ranked 25th giving up 128 yards per game. QB Jake Delhomme (7 TDs, 13 INTs) has been turnover prone while their offense has injuries to two running games: RB DeAngelo Williams didn't practice and is listed as questionable, while RB Jonathan Stewart (Achilles) is also questionable. In the last 4 games Miami has been a dog they are 3-1 ATS, whiile Carolina is 1-2 ATS as chalk this season. Play the Dolphins.

A tough matchup for the New Orleans defense, who struggle on the perimeter allowing .377% shooting from long range. And here comes the run-and-gun Suns, second in the NBA with 110 points per game while shooting a sizzling .438% from three-point land -- tops in the league. They are not just Steve Nash and Stoudamire, either. Grant Hill and Jason Richardson are grabbing more rebounds (135 combined) than any NBA wing tandem. Their combined average of 13.3 per game (Hill, 7.7, Richardson, 5.6) is second only to Washington's Caron Butler (7.8) and Mike Miller (7.3), who have played only six games together. They are on a 5-3 run over the total, as the Suns are allowing .477% shooting by opponents -- 24th in the league. New Orleans is 23rd in the NBA allowing .475% shooting and 104.5 ppg. New Orleans is on a 4-1 run over the total. Play the Suns/Hornets Over the total.

Trend Tracker Game of the Year: Spurs. Utah heads out on the road in the second of a back to back spot for both teams, and Utah is 2-4 on the road. This will be the 5th road game over the last 6 games for a tired and underachieving Jazz team. Utah is 1-8 ATS their last nine times playing the second of a back-to-back situation and 3-12 ATS the last 15 times! Utah just finished up a grueling East Coast trip, too, four games on the road, including tough trips to Boston and Cleveland (two losses). San Antonio is 4-1 at home where they play their best defenses. The Spurs are 10-4 ATS the last 14 meetings with Utah. In San Antonio, the Spurs are 10-0 both SU and ATS vs Utah, including an average margin of victory of 17 ppg. A great spot for a big win by the home team. Play the Spurs!
