NFL | Nov 19, 2009 Miami Dolphins vs. Carolina Panthers
Miami lost the most integral part of their offense in running back Ronnie Brown. Not only is he their best running back but he was the catalyst of the wildcat offense. A lot more of the burden will placed on 2nd year quarterback and 1st year starter Chad Henne. He will be facing a Carolina defense that is #4 against the pass in the NFL. Couple that with the fact that the Dolphins most glaring weakness is at the wide receiver position. Just like the Dolphins the Panthers are one of the best rushing teams in the NFL. The difference is that the Carolina passing game will be aided by the fact they will be going against two rookies starting at corner, a defense that's #28 versus the pass, and led by Steve Smith the Panthers are far superior at the wide receiver position. Miami is just 1-3 on the road this season. Their only away win came versus the Jets 30-25 in a game they only accumulated 110 yards of total offense. In that game they benefited fron 2 kickoff returns for touchdowns by Ted Ginn and a fumble return for a score by Jason Taylor. The Fish won't be as fortunate tonight. I look for Jake Delhomme to have his best game of the season.
