The Sharks have been near unbeatable at home over the last two season. They have yet to lose a game at home this season in regulation and Philly comes into tonight's game coming off a win at LA, they will be playing with house money tonight and I expect them to be sluggish.
Utah State is the best 3-7 team I have seen in quite sometime. The Aggies are 7-3 ATS as are the Broncos. Utah State has a running back in Robert Turbin that will shred the Boise defense. Turbin has rushed for 1,122 yards and 9 touchdowns this season while also catching 26 passes for 334 yards and a team high 3 receiving touchdowns. QB Diondre Borel is more then capable of performing well tonight as his 13-3 tocuhdown/INT ratio is solid.
Kellen Moore is a flat out stud. The QB has thrown for 2,558 yards (roughly 200 more then Borel) and has a lights out TD/INT ratio of 32 to 3. However, Utah State averages 201 yards rushing per game and that is an area where Boise tends to struggle.
Austin Peay is 1-1 this season. They lost badly to Tennessee, a top 10 team in the nation but then defeated a good Akron team on the road 80-77 in a game they were 12.5 point underdogs. Wes Channels is the Governers best player, he put up a sta line of 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists last game.
IUPUI is another good offensive team. They are 2-0 defeating Drake and Eastern Illinois on the road. Neither of those wins are impressive. An up tempo team that will look to score on the break. However, the problem they will run into is going to be Peay's ability to rebound the ball. If IUPUI gives up second chance opportunities then they will stand no chance.
Governors are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog of 0.5-6.5.
IUPUI Jaguars are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games.
Austin Peay are stronger and have better depth. This line should be reversed but hey, I'll take it.
Providence is 3-0 to start the season but has not played a school of note yet. That either means they are unproven or just have not got the shot at a main opponent. Well, I am here to tell you the Friars are legit. Led by team leaders Marshon Brooks and Sharaud Curry, Providence runs a high tempo frantic offense that is so dangerous due to the depth they have. Jamine Peterson is a 6'6 forward who collected 22 rebounds in his last game.
Alabama is a team who will be in for a long season. They are 1-1 with that one defeat coming home vs Cornell of the Ivy League. The lack of size and explosive capability will be blatant tonight. Mikhail Torrance is a 6'5 guard that led their team in rebounds last game, a win vs lowly Jackson State. Providence scores more points on offense and allows less against per game.
