The Phoenix Suns have been coming up big all season and stand at 10-2 coming into this one. The New Orleans Hornets have really struggled out of the gate, but they have spent the bulk of their early season on the road, and have done a much better job at home. The Hornets will have to make due without Chris Paul who has an ankle sprain, but teams tend to galvanize in the wake of an injury in the first few games after it. The Suns haven't been a good road favorite at just 1-5 ATS in their last 6, while the Hornets are 17-6 ATS in their last 23 at home vs a team with a winning road record. I'll go with New Orleans here.
The Buffaloes have QB issues, and although Tyler Hansen has been getting most of the snaps, the offense isn't performaing any better, in fact it may be regressing. The Cowboys have a tough defense, especially at home, and the Buffs offense is more than a yard worse from scrimmage on the road, than what the defenses they have faced have allowed this season. I really can see them having trouble getting into the endzone in this one. Oklahoma St. has an average offense, and the Colorado defense has been average, so I don't see a runaway scoring game by the Cowboys in this one. With one team needed to do most of the scoring here, I like this one to go under the total.
NCAA-B | Nov 19, 2009 Utah Valley State vs. Minnesota
The Golden Gophers are back. The Gophers have taken out their first 2 opponents in resounding fashion by 37 and 40 points, and I see no slowing down vs Utah Valley St. Utah Valley St. lost their top scorer from a year ago in Ryan Toolson, who averaged 23.8ppg, and this team played noone of note all of last season. Tubby Smith took a hit with eligibility issues, and a suspension from a Mall incident, but the team is still very talented, and experienced. This is about as big a mismatch as the first 2 and I expect another 30+ point win for the Gophers here.
NCAA-B | Nov 19, 2009 Long Beach State vs. Notre Dame
Notre Dame has Luke Harangody back, which will make the Irish overrated against opponents like Long Beach. Long Beach is a very good team, returns 4 starters, and coach Dan Monson is bringing in a loaded recruitting class, and the Niners will be a force in the Big West. This is a loaded team, and getting this many points vs a Notre Dame team that has one big player, and lost a starter to an ACL injury before game one, is full of value. The Irish had Harangody last year and how did that work out. There is just not enough talent around him for this big a line, vs a very competent opponent. Long Beach gets the call.
The William & Mary Tribe surprised everyone by going to Uconn and giving the 12th ranked Huskies a scare, but the Huskies are overrated, and have played 3 games, and gotten 3 scares. They then went to Harvard, vs a not so good Crimson team, and lost. Richmond was a methodical team for several years, but that is about to change as they are now athletic and deep, and will run. The Spiders won 20 a year ago, return 4 starters, and also get the return of 6-9 Dan Geriot who was an All-Conference selection before tearing up his knee, so they will be even better. This line is way short of where it should be, and I'm going Richmond here.
The Green Wave went down to Georgetown in their opener by 16, but the Hurricanes don't present the same matchup issues as the Hoyas, as they had no answers for Monroe, and Freeman, who had almost 50% of the points and more than 50% of the rebounds between them. Tulane finished strong a year ago, and went all the way to the title game in Conference USA vs Memphis. They have 9 letter winners returning, and will be a better team. This is a rebuilding year for Miami. Jack McClinton, and his clutch shooting, leadership, and 19.3ppg is gone. The Hurricanes couldn't win in the ACC with him at 7-9, they will struggle this season, and Tulane has enough talent to stay inside this number. Tulane gets the call.
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets stung Florida A&M in their opener 100-59, but this one won't be quite so easy. The Jackets have a very good starting 5, but the bench is a question mark. Dayton has been building steadily off an NIT appearance 2 years ago, they made the dance with 27 wins a year ago, and won a game. This season they are loaded, and a 30 win season is not out of the question, with 4 key starters retruning. The depth will be the difference here, with the Flyers returning 10 of their 11 top scorers from a year ago. I think that depth will be the reason they pull away late here and get the win, Dayton gets the call.

I am able to spot line value, and exploit it with success. The one thing I don't do is waste selections, for the sake of having one. The only games I will ever put out, are those that I have handicapped countless different ways, and are deemed to create a high likelihood of beating the pointspread.
