Both the Dolphins and Panthers have injury problems in the backfield. Ronnie Brown is out tonight for Miami, but Jonathan Stewart is doubtful and DeAngelo Williams is questionable for Carolina. The Dolphins still have Ricky Williams, who looks as good as he's ever looked in his career. This game comes down to which team runs the ball better, and the Dolphins have the better run defense. Miami allows just 97.6 rushing yards/game while the Panthers allow 128 rushing yards/game. Miami runs for 156/game while Carolins runs for 157/game, so this is a wash offensively, but Miami clearly has the better run defense. Chad Henne has proven he has what it takes to make enough plays to help his team win. Henne led them on a comeback win on Monday Night Football against the Jets a few weeks back, and Henne led them on a game-winning drive last week over the Bucs just after he threw an interception that almost cost his team the game. The players on Miami have faith in Henne, while the same cannot be said for Jake Delhomme as he continues throwing too many interceptions. Carolina is averaging just 19.6 points/game this season while Miami puts up 24.2 points/game. The Dolphins are an UNBEATEN 6-0 ATS (+6.0 Units) in road games after 1 or more consecutive wins over the last 2 seasons. Getting the points is a bonus, but we likely won't need them as Miami wins outright tonight. Take the Dolphins and the points.
