| MLB | Jun 19, 2013 Colorado Rockies vs. Toronto Blue Jays |
Colorado Rockies +140 at BETONLINE |
in 19h |
06/19 7:05 PM EST MLB (977) COLORADO ROCKIES VS (978) TORONTO BLUE JAYS Take: (977) COLORADO ROCKIES. Reason: Interleague action as the Rockies and Blue Jays meet in the Rogers Center in Toronto. Colorado has a powerhouse offense, second in baseball in runs scored and on base percentage, plus tops in slugging. They head to Toronto which is a great offensive park. Facing soft thrower Mark Buehrle (3-4, 4.66 ERA) will help this offense, too, who has been hittable. Colorado has righty Juan Nicasio going, who has allowed fewer hits than innings pitched and Toronto has never faced him. Play the Rockies. |

06/17 07:05 PM MLB (971) SEATTLE MARINERS VS (972) LOS ANGELES ANGELS Take: over the total. Reason: The over is 12-5 in the Mariners last 17 road games vs. a team with a losing record as they head to Anaheim. The Angels go with Jason Vargas, who used to pitch with the Mariners so they know all about him. After a great May Vargas has cooled off with a 4.82 ERA his last three starts. He's allowed 90 hits and 29 walks in 84 innings, so he puts guys on base. And speaking of putting guys on base that's all Seattle aging righty Aaron Harang (3-6, 5.60 ERA) does, allowing 10 homers in 54+ innings. He is 0-2 with a whopping 16.20 ERA in two starts against the Angels this season. The over is 25-10-2 whe the Angels play the AL West. Play the Mariners/Angels over the total. |

|
06/17 8:05 PM EST MLB (967) OAKLAND ATHLETICS VS (968) TEXAS RANGERS Take: (967) OAKLAND ATHLETICS Reason: Oakland won't go away and has taken charger in the AL West now and on a 21-7 run. They have great pitching depth and balance on offense, 7th in baseball in runs scored and on base percentage despite playing half their games in a huge park. The Athletics are 36-16 against the AL West! That offense faces Texas righty 24-year old Nick Tepesch (3-6, 4.30 ERA) who is 0-2 with a 5.40 ERA his last three starts. Texas is just 1-7 his last 8 starts! The Athletics are 74-35 in their last 109 games vs. a right-handed starter and Texas is slumping. Texas has had a lousy week and faces Dan Straily. It helps to be a strikeout pitched in a small park like Texas and Straily is, fanning 47 in 58+ innings with only 16 walks and 47 hits allowed. He has a 2.50 ERA in 18 innings against Texas striking out 15. Play the Oakland A's. |

MLB | Jun 17, 2013 Kansas City Royals vs. Cleveland Indians |
Kansas City Royals -131 at BETONLINE |
Won $100 |
|
06/17 7:05 PM EST MLB (965) KANSAS CITY ROYALS VS (966) CLEVELAND INDIANS Take: (965) KANSAS CITY ROYALS Reason: Kansas City has been on a tear the last two weeks, including 4 wins in the last week as a dog. The Royals are 7-2 in their last 9 games vs. a right-handed starter and face wild righty Ubaldo Jimenez (4.79 ERA), who has walked 34 in 67+ innings, a poor ratio. Even with a good ERA his last three starts he's walked 8 in 16 innings. Slumping Cleveland has had a tough stretch against good teams and good pitchers and has been failing the grade. It doesn't get any easier here against James Shields (2.79 ERA), who has 90 strikeouts in 100 innings and only 26 walks and 85 hits allowed. He has a 2.14 ERA his last three starts. Play the KC Royals. |

MLB | Jun 17, 2013 Washington Nationals vs. Philadelphia Phillies |
Philadelphia Phillies -117 at BETONLINE |
Won $100 |
|
6/17 7:05 PM MLB (951) WASHINGTON NATIONALS VS (952) PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES Take: (952) MLB Home Field Crusher: Phillies. John Lannan faces his old team here and he has a 2.45 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in two rehab starts. He faces a Washington team that can't hit, one of the worst offenses in the game including 28th in runs and on base percentage. This is the 7th road game for Washington on a 9-game trip. The Nationals are 4-10 in their last 14 road games and have their worst pitchers going in Dan Haren (4-8, 5.70 ERA), who has been blasted for 91 hits and 17 homers in 72+ innings. He is done. He is also 0-3 with a 5.79 ERA against Philadelphia. Philadelphia is home after a long road trip and ended it strong, with wins at Colorado, including one as a +115 dog. The Phillies are 38-14 in their last 52 home games following a road trip of 7 or more days. Play the Phillies. |

|
06/17 7:05 PM EST MLB (973) COLORADO ROCKIES VS (974) TORONTO BLUE JAYS Take: MLB High Roller Diamond Total: Rockies/Blue Jays over the total. Toronto is a great offensive park and Colorado is in town with a powerhouse offense, second in baseball in runs scored and slugging, 4th in on base percentage. The over is 14-6 in the Rockies last 20 vs. a team with a losing record. Colorado righty Jorge De La Rosa is struggling, with a 4.67 ERA his last three starts. He pitched through a finger injury Wednesday against the Nationals, allowing three earned runs on four hits and three walks in 5 1/3 innings while striking out five. He took the loss to drop to 7-4. Toronto has improved its offense to 10th in baseball in runs scored, 9th in slugging, but is still in last place. Righty Josh Johnson (0-2, 5.40 ERA) hasn't been sharp and will struggle against this Colorado attack. Play the Rockies/Blue Jays over the total. |

MLB | Jun 17, 2013 Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Cincinnati Reds |
Cincinnati Reds -120 at BETONLINE |
Won $100 |
|
06/17 7:10 PM MLB (955) PITTSBURGH PIRATES VS (956) CINCINNATI REDS Take: (956) Home Field Massacre of the Month: Reds. After a red hot start Pittsburgh lefty has cooled off allowing 9 runs and 9 walks his last four starts, 22 hits, 11 walks in 24 innings. Two of those starts he has been hit hard, including the last one by the Giants, a 12-8 win. But this Pirates offense doesn't score many runs often, ranked 23rd in runs scored and OBP, with no power, plus a team batting average of .239 (26th). This is the 4th home game of a 7-game home stand for Cincinnati. They are a dominant home team with a powerful offense, 7th in runs, 5th in on-base percentage. Starter Mike Leake (6-3. 2.76 ERA) has been great and sports a 1.89 ERA his last three starts. He is off a gem Wednesday afternoon against the Cubs going eight innings and allowing just one run on three hits and a walk. He needed just 103 pitches to get through eight innings. Leake has gone six straight starts without allowing more than three runs, with five of the six coming as quality starts. And the Reds are 23-10 in their last 33 home games, plus the Pirates are 1-5 in the last 6 meetings in Cincinnati. Play the Reds. |

NHL | Jun 17, 2013 Chicago Blackhawks vs. Boston Bruins |
Chicago Blackhawks +114 at BETONLINE |
Lost $100.0 |
|
06/17 8:05 PM EST NHL (55) CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS VS (56) BOSTON BRUINS Take: (55) CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS. Reason: A good spot for Chicago in Game 3, all tied 1-1. A pair of overtime games, one double, one triple, will assist the team with the better depth. And that's the Blackhawks, who roll 4 lines and have had a healthy playoff run. This team is 2nd in the NHL in goals scored, tops in goals allowed. The Blackhawks are 49-18 in their last 67 overall and 23-10 in their last 33 road games. Boston has had to use rookies on defense because of injuries. Coach Claude Julian has also had to shorten his bench in this series and that will hurt here on such short turnaround against a powerhouse Chicago team. Play the Blackhawks in Game 3. |
