NFL Power Rankings Week 2
Looking for 2016 NFL Power Rankings? The NFL season is officially underway and judging by the slate of games that we were treated to in Week 1 it should be a fun ride. Week 1 was characterized by insane finishes, terrific comebacks and some true upsets.
To be honest there wasn’t one team that really impressed in Week 1 except for the Patriots who found a way yet again to defy the odds and maybe the Steelers who made it look easy.

So where does your favorite stand heading into Week 2? Let’s take a look in Dave B’s Week 2 NFL Power Rankings.
1. Seattle Seahawks (1-0)
Last Week: 2
The Seahawks were #2 last week and although their win was ugly on Sunday – it was a win. There is no way that the offense stays out of sync like it was in Week 1. Seattle got their bad game out of the way – and still won.
For that reason they are my #1 this week.
2. New England Patriots (1-0)
Last Week: 3
The Patriots could easily be #1 – the won against a tough Arizona team on the road without Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski – incredible. I expect a bit of a dropoff for Garoppolo despite his next three games coming at home.

But there is absolutely denying the Patriots their eliteness.
3. Denver Broncos (1-0)
Last Week: 8
This team is winning with Trevor Siemian guiding the offense! CJ Anderson looked terrific in Week 1 and the defense was its typical selves.
A win against the Panthers opened my eyes to the biggest gainer in our Rankings.
4. Arizona Cardinals (0-1)
Last Week: 1
The Cardinals were one of/if not the best team in the league – top-to-bottom last season – they should have beaten the Patriots who were without their two best players.
I mean c’mon! Mind you, if they were able to convert their field goal in the fourth we may be looking at the Cards as the #1 team again. The Bucs, Bills, Rams, 49ers, and Jets are on tap – they should be fine.
5. Carolina Panthers (0-1)
Last Week: 4
The Panthers had one loss all of last season – after Week 1 this year they have equaled that total. Like the Cardinals they could have won their game if not for a missed FG.

Kelvin Benjamin looked awfully good and the defense without Josh Norman didn’t look bad. The Panthers are still an elite team – Cam makes them so.
6. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0)
Last Week: 6
The Steelers took care of business on Monday night – Big Ben did whatever he wanted, DeAngelo Williams ran free and Antonio Brown was off-the-charts.
This team is going to be fun to watch!
7. Green Bay Packers (1-0)
Last Week: 5
It’s hard to believe that the Packers slide two spots after winning in Week 1. I take into account their opposition – Jacksonville who played them awful tough.
Still, Aaron Rodgers was incredible and Jordy Nelson back in the offense changes things dramatically.
8. Cincinnati Bengals (1-0)
Last Week: 7
The Bengals are another team that slips despite a win. But as long as AJ Green keeps being AJ Green the Bengals are a top 10 team all day long.
9. Kansas City Chiefs (1-0)
Last Week: 9
The Chiefs looked awful against the Chargers in Week 1 before the light switch went on.
In the end backup RB Spencer Ware rushed for 70 yards and caught seven passed for an insane 129 yards en route to an incredible comeback win. Jeremy Maclin looked good as well – there are some serious weapons on this team for sure.
10. Oakland Raiders (1-0)
Last Week: 10
A team that has a stud young QB David Carr, an elite WR in Amari Cooper and a coach with a set of balls like Jack Del Rio HAS to be in the top 10.
Oakland went in to a very tough Superdome and won a shootout with Drew Brees – I like where this is going!
11. Houston Texans (1-0)
Last Week: 11
The Texans looked pretty good in a 23-14 win against Chicago. Newcomers Brock Osweiler, Lamar Miller and Will Fuller were terrific. Keep in mind this team has a finally healthy Jadeveon Clowney and a currently injured JJ Watt on defense.

Houston could be on the verge!
12. New York Giants (1-0)
Last Week: 16
Went on the road and beat their nemesis Dallas in Week 1 – they really squeaked one out! Still you have to love Victor Cruz proving he’s relevant and the fact that this defense held the vaunted Dallas O-line and the Cowboys running game to 101 yards.
Odell Beckham was quiet on Sunday and this team still won – expect good things for the G-Men this year.
