Broncos Super Bowl Odds
- 14-4, AFC Champions
Denver Broncos Super Bowl Odds +185. The Broncos have gone through a season that has been one heck of a roller coaster ride. It started with Peyton Manning struggling and not looking like the Peyton Manning of old. Still, Denver managed to win games whether it be from a big play defensively or a late touchdown. Then, Manning got hurt and Brock Osweiler took over in the backfield. Osweiler turned out to be a solid option and led Denver to the overall number 1 seed and a first round bye this postseason.

The Broncos matched up with Pittsburgh in the 2nd round and trailed for about 3.5 quarters. But what they did earlier in the season came back into play. The Broncos used a big turnover and turned it into a late touchdown to grab a win they didn’t deserve.
In the AFC Championship, the Broncos D put pressure all day on Tom Brady. They knocked him all around, but needed a 2 point conversion stop to seal their fate in the Superbowl.
Now they get Cam Newton and the red hot Panthers in the Superbowl. Here are 5 reasons why this Broncos team can beat them and grab a Superbowl Championship.
Experience
The Broncos and Peyton Manning have been in this high pressure position before. Manning has played in many big games throughout his career and he’s even played along side some of these players on the Broncos in those games.

Last season, Manning was in dominant form, but it eventually caught up to him in the playoffs where teams played the pass every down. Manning was frustrated and couldn’t find any open receivers. This year, Manning has shown he’s learned from those mistakes. He’s learned the run game is extremely important and the Broncos offense starts with CJ Anderson.
With the entire nation watching, Manning has been here and done it before. Cam Newton hasn’t been on the big stage in the NFL yet. This is his first step in the water and he will have some nerves to deal with.
Taking Care of the Ball
The Panthers defense has been a ball hawking one. Carolina forced the Cardinals into 7 turnovers and naturally, they blew them out.

During the Playoffs, Denver has turned the ball over just 1 time. This goes back to the experience category too. Peyton Manning no longer forces balls into tight coverage. Through the beginning of the season, Manning would force the ball into tight windows and they’d either get tipped or intercepted. That no longer is an issue.
With the run game being a priority now, the defense is kept honest and unable to jump routes.
The Denver Pass Rush
It’s been evident this season that the only way to beat the Panthers is to keep Cam Newton off balanced.
Newton has been picking apart defenses all season long with both his arm and legs. However, this will easily be the hardest pass rush they’ll see all season long.
Just ask Tom Brady, who was sacked 4 times in the AFC Championship game and constantly had pressure on him within seconds after the ball was snapped. It forced Brady into a lot of rare, tough passes.
The key here is that it’s not even their sacking ability, it’s more the fact that the Broncos get in the backfield and force the opposing QB to make quick decisions. Combine that with Newton’s nerves and he could make an early mistake or two.
Stingy Secondary
While their pass rush handles forcing the opposing QB into some bad throws, the secondary always makes sure none of that hard work goes to waste.
Let’s be honest here, Tom Brady doesn’t throw two interceptions in a game. Brady also doesn’t make the bad throws that much like he did against Denver.
This Denver secondary led the NFL with 23 interceptions and while Newton prided himself on not throwing interceptions, this secondary is hard to beat over the top. Look for the windows to beat very tight for Newton to throw in and the deep down field ball he loves so much not to be there.
The Final Chapter
Peyton Manning looks like he is near or at the end of his line.

This has the potential to be the perfect ending to a very impressive career for Manning. He’s left his legacy in the NFL and with him going out as a Superbowl Champion, it’s the perfect ending.
Manning will certainly leave nothing to question here as you can expect him to do everything possible to get the Broncos a ring here.
