You’ve come to the right place for Denver Super Bowl 50 Odds. The number one seed in the AFC comes into the big game as a 5.5 point underdog. The league’s number one defense has allowed just 34 points in their first two playoff wins, but are coming up against a red hot Panthers team that has scored 80 points in their two games.

AFC Participant: Denver Super Bowl 50 Odds -108
This will be, in all likelihood, QB Peyton Manning’s last game in the NFL and that could be a huge factor when weighing possible outcomes in this one.
On paper the Panthers definitely look the superior team, but the motivation is far higher on the Broncos’ side as they’ll be playing for their QB in hopes of sending him off into the sunset on a high note.
Manning’s numbers were nowhere close to what he has posted throughout his Hall of Fame career, in part due to injury, and in part due to a new offense. The veteran threw for 2,249 yards, nine TDs and 17 interceptions.
AFC Divisional Game
The Broncos offense sputtered for most of the game against the Steelers, but give Pittsburgh credit for the way that they played, keeping the Broncos from scoring a touchdown until the fourth quarter.
Denver’s defense was the real story in this game, holding an undermanned Steelers offense very much in check, sacking QB Ben Roethlisberger three times and getting a key takeaway on a DeMarcus Ware fumble recovery.

The offense never really looked to be in rhythm but they found a drive when they needed it most and C.J. Anderson punched in a one yard TD run to give the Broncos a fourth quarter lead they wouldn’t give up, holding on to win 23-16.
AFC Championship Game
The much anticipated Brady vs Manning game number 4,833 did not disappoint, but it wasn’t really the QB’s who factored into the outcome.
Manning and the offense were much sharper than they were in the Divisional round and stormed out to an opening drive pass TD to Owen Daniels.
The Tight End grabbed his second TD early in the second quarter to put the Broncos up 14-6, thanks to a missed PAT by Pats kicker Stephen Gostkowski.
That miss would factor in huge as the Pats had an opportunity to tie the game with 12 seconds left on the clock after a Rob Gronkowski TD, but the Broncos D, as they have all season, came up with a crucial stop and wrapped up a 20-18 victory.
Strengths
Defense:
As the old saying goes, “defense wins championships”, and if this Broncos team is to win the Super Bowl it will be largely on their defense stopping a Panthers team and QB Cam Newton who have looked unstoppable this post season.
If the Broncos shut down the Panthers it will be with a pass defense that ranked number one in the NFL in the regular season and forcing Cam Newton to run the football and make things happen on his own.

The Broncos should not fear Newton’s legs, and while he’s the best rushing QB in the league (sorry Russell Wilson) the Broncos are very fast up front and should be able to keep Newton in check.
Peyton Manning:
The Manning factor is perhaps the biggest strength for this team, that also has the potential to be a big weakness.
Manning has had trouble hitting the deep ball for what seems like forever, but his game management and experience can not be undervalued.
With Super Bowl 50 likely being the vet’s last game ever, he’s no doubt going to be as prepared as ever and put on a performance that will cement his legacy as one of the best to ever play the position.
Weaknesses:
Vanishing offense:
The last time this team came into the Super Bowl they touted an offense that shattered records all season long and looked unstoppable.
The script has been flipped entirely this year, as this team’s offense shows up in random spurts and looks amazing, then disappears for two quarters.
This offense will need to play a full 60 minutes, especially against a Panthers team that has a lot of big play and quick strike ability. If the offense goes cold for too long, the game could get away from Denver in a hurry.
Big play makers:
Once again it’s the offense – Denver’s top wide out Demaryius Thomas drew Malcolm Butler against the Pats and was held to just two catches for 12 yards. This week he’ll draw Josh Norman so it’s unlikely that Thomas will factor into the outcome, and he’s their most explosive option.
In the AFC Championship it was Owen Daniels who rescued the offense, making two TD grabs, while Emmanuel Sanders saw the highest volume of passes with five grabs for 62 yards.
Against a team like Carolina, who can put up points in a hurry, Denver needs a weapon on offense that they can answer with.
I don’t see one in their squad.
