2016 RBC Heritage Golf Preview And Picks
Ready for 2016 RBC Heritage betting predictions? With the drama of the Masters in the rear view mirror the PGA focus switches to Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina where the 2016 RBC Heritage will be contested. The course has gone through a major renovation since last year – although it is one of the shortest layouts on TOUR it should provide a pretty good test for the PGA pros this week.

That said the 7, 099 yards par 71 track will be a picnic compared to Augusta. Obviously length won’t be much of a factor this week – those who are able to be creative and hit their spots will do well this week – accuracy will rein supreme.
A strong putter, although not essential will be an asset as always.
So who should we keep an eye on this week? Let’s take a look.
2016 RBC Heritage Favorites:
Jason Day +550
It’s kinda surprising that Day is going to show up this week – it will be the first time he’s played here since 2013. He enters off a T10 at the Masters and has finished inside the top 30 three times at Harbour Town – a T9 in 2011 being his best result.

He is third on TOUR in strokes gained: putting and is seventh in the all-around – great attributes for this track. I don’t know is a hangover is imminent but there is no question who the class of the field is!
Paul Casey +1600
Finished a very good T4 at the Masters and now has top 10 finishes in three of his last four starts – great form heading into the week.
He has been inside the top 25 all three times he’s played here and arrives with some pretty good stats to support a decent week – tenth in greens in regulation and fourth in ball striking.
Brandt Snedeker +1600
Finished T10 at the Masters and was T9 in the Match Play before that. His record here has been all over the map – a win in 2011 was his only top 10. That said his early season form was off the charts and he may be rediscovering that form right now.
2016 RBC Heritage Contenders:
Matt Kuchar +2000
Harbour Town always seems to bring the best out in Kuchar – his last win came here two years ago and he did finish fifth in this tournament last year as well.
He has made the cut the last 13 years and enters off an OK T24 at the Masters in a tournament he got much better on the weekend. Track history is no joke folks – Kuch’s present form isn’t bad either.
Kevin Kisner +2500
Lost in a playoff here last year but is a much better player since that loss. He currently ranks third in all-around on TOUR and could make some noise this week.
Branden Grace +4000
Something tells me that this guy is due for a big week – his stats seem to support the notion that it may come here. He’s eighth on TOUR in strokes gained: putting and third in scrambling – perfect for Harbour Town. He was T7 here last year and is a decent bet to better that result this week.
2016 RBC Heritage Sleepers (+5000 or higher):
Charley Hoffman +5000
Has been playing very well as of late – at the Masters and at the Shell Houston Open before that. He recorded top 10 finishes in 2012 and 2013 on this track and has made the cut here the last 10 years. His current form points to a good week indeed.
Luke Donald +5000
Didn’t even get an invite to the Masters – hard to believe for a player that was #1 in the world four years ago. Donald has made the cut here the last seven years with FIVE top three finishes and two runner-ups.
[dfads params=’groups=247&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
He has been inside the top 30 in his last two TOUR starts overall and is due for a breakthrough on a track he’s had a ton of success.
Scott Brown +8000
Played OK last time out before a brutal weekend derailed his chances but has three top 10s in his last four starts overall. He has made the cut all three times he’s played Harbour Town with a T5 in 2014. Brown should be on everyone’s radar this week.
2016 RBC Heritage Picks:
The pick this week is Paul Casey at +1600. His tee-to-green game makes him a perfect fit for Harbour Town and he has finished inside the top 10 in his last three starts overall.
Add in a good history on this track and figure that he’s due.
The sleeper is Luke Donald at +5000. His course history is just too hard to ignore!
