This Week’s PGA Tour Predictions!
The PGA pros head to Vegas this week to play TPC Summerlin – voted one of the best private courses in the Unites States. TPC Summerlin is a par 71 track that plays 7,255 yards and was one of the easiest stops on TOUR past year. The winner here will have to go low – good ball strikers should eat this course up and the player with the hottest putter will likely prevail.

With that in mind, who should we be keeping an eye on this week?
Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Favorites:
Rickie Fowler 8/1
Is the top ranked golfer in the field – he had three wins, a second and a T4 worldwide in last five months.
[dfads params=’groups=220&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
He finished T22 the last time he played here in 2010 and should be in the mix this week.
Brooks Koepka 18/1
Koepka can go low which makes him a contender here. He is long and he is accurate which makes his chances for Eagles very good on this track. He was T4 here last year in a tournament he led the field in driving distance. He was good and bad last week at Silverado but something tells me he puts it together here.
Brandt Snedeker 22/1
Snedeker finished T17 last week thanks to a good weekend. Sneds game lines up well here – he is fairly long and accurate and his putter looked good last week – he ranked third in strokes gained: putting which is a very good thing at Summerlin. He was T10 here last year and is a good bet to eclipse that this week.

Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Contenders:
Emiliano Grillo 22/1
The hottest player on the planet – yes Emiliano Grillo- he had a win on the Web.com Tour a couple of weeks ago and won the first event of the year last week. Can he keep it going? I’m not so sure.
Kevin Na 22/1
Lost in a playoff last week and returns to the site of his only PGA win. Na wasn’t all that sharp last week but still did enough to get himself into the playoff. His game suits this track well – his motivation this week makes Na an interesting 22/1.
Ryan Moore 25/1
Local guy always play well at this event. He won here in 2012 with a -24score! He has two other top 10 finishes in this event the last five years. Moore is coming off a T10 finish at the Frys.com last week and could contend this week.
Scott Piercy 33/1
Another local guy always shows up for this event has quietly been playing some good golf. He won the Barbasol Championship in July and also had a third in the BMW Championship. He has finished top 15 in this event in four of the last five years.
[dfads params=’groups=219&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Webb Simpson 33/1
Won here in 2013 and T4s in 2010 and 2014. He hasn’t been playing great golf but if track history has anything to do with it…
Patrick Rodgers 40/1
Looked good at Silverado last week en route to a T6. His stats were especially impressive especially heading into this week – eighth in GIR, second in birdies or better and first in par-5 scoring average. He’s a sneaky 40/1 this week for sure.
Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Sleepers (50/1 or higher):
Russell Knox 50/1
Has averaged 67.92 in his last 12 rounds at TPC Summerlin and finished third here last year. Knox looks like some of the best value on the board in this one.
Will Wilcox 55/1
Looked good last week before a 73 on Sunday – his first start since returning from injury. He was T2 in par 4 scoring last week – a stat that should come in handy this week. Wilcox was one round away from perhaps winning the Frys.com – he’s a decent bet to put four together this week and seriously challenge.
Kevin Streelman 66/1
Has eaten up this course – a 67.55 scoring average in his last 20 rounds on this track. He finished second here last year and has been in the mix every time he’s teed it up at TPC Summerlin.
Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Picks:
My pick this week is a local guy not named Scott Piercy. Ryan Moore at 25/1 gets the nod this week. He played well last week and always shows up in this event.
The Sleeper is Will Willcox at 55/1. He’s due.
