The now No. 1 player in the world Jason Day will join Spieth, Fowler, Stenson, and Bubba Watson as the Top 5 players heading to East Lake – all with a chance to win the FedExCup with a win on Sunday.
There is a chance that someone outside the top 5 could claim the $10 million first prize but all of the top 5 will have to falter.
There is a ton of $ on the line this week – you can bet that everyone will bring their best – it should be good.

So who should we keep an eye on this week?
Let’s take a look.
2015 The TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola Favorites:
Jason Day +300
Not much of a surprise here! Day has been absolutely on FIRE! And is your new World Golf #1 after four wins in his last six starts worldwide. He had a T6 at East Lake in 2011 and was T4 on this track last year – no reason to think a dropoff is imminent!
He’s rested, he’s scorching and will likely be the one everyone is chasing Sunday.
Rory McIlroy +550
Hasn’t done a whole lot lately – the ankle injury slowed his roll! He did finish T4 at the BMW and was T2 on this track last year but has some work to do in order to find the form that his top competitors are enjoying right now.
His putter is the key right now – if it’s on Rory definitely has a chance.
Jordan Spieth +650
Followed two straight missed cuts with a T13 last time out at the BMW. He will be in a battle for Player of the Year honors with Jason Day – a little added motivation for this week. He was T2 here in 2013
2015 The TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola Contenders:
Henrik Stenson +800
I have picked Stenson the last two weeks and he hasn’t paid me off! He finished top 10 at the BMW Championship after consecutive runner-up finishes in the first two legs of the FedEx Cup playoffs. Stenson seems due on a track in which he won in 2013.
Could it be three straight events that I pick Henrik? Stay tuned!
Rickie Fowler +800
Won the Deutsche Bank and finished T4 at the BMW – he comes into this week HOT. And when Ricky if Hot he’s tough to stop! His putter has come around making him a dangerous guy.
He finished an OK T8 here last year and is a good bet to better that this week!

Justin Rose +1,000
Has finished top 6 in his last three trips to East Lake including a T4 here last year and has six top 20 finishes in his last seven starts overall – including a T13 at the BMW. His class can’t be denied and his course history is stellar.
The only thing going against Rose is his current form compared to the rest of the field.
Dustin Johnson +1,400
DJ has top 10 finishes in three of his last four starts overall including a T7 at the BMW – he shot a 62 in the second round of that event! He has top 10 finishes in his last two trips to East Lake – a T10 in 2012 and a fifth in 2013.
Johnson is a sneaky entry this week and could surprise.
Hideki Matsuyama +2,500
I’ve been pumping Hideki’s tires all season long. He has finished inside the top 25 in all three legs of the FedEx Cup playoffs and enters off a T7 at Conway Farms. His stats are terrific – third in birdies or better and seventh in adjusted scoring in his last three starts overall.
Matsuyama will break through at some point – maybe this is his week!
2015 The TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola Sleepers (+5000 or higher):
Paul Casey +5,000
Back problems have slowed him in the FedEx Cup Playoffs but before that was a pretty impressive streak. Casey was decent last week en route to a T23. He led the field in proximity to the hole – if his putter was on he may have been in the hunt.
Casey is an intriguing +5000 this week. He finished T4 the last time he played here in 2010.
Brooks Koepka +5,000
Should be Rookie of the Year on TOUR. Koepka could put an exclamation point on that this week. He hasn’t been great but East Lake suits his game to a tee. He is long and aggressive off the tee, is 12th on tour in strokes gained, total and eighth in scoring average – good stats for this track.
Just a hunch that he does well this week.
2015 The TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola Picks:
The pick this week isn’t earth-shattering at all – Jason Day looks absolutely unstoppable.
You can bet he’ll be motivated to get that $10 million check and to maintain the World #1 – he gets it done.
My sleeper is Paul Casey. He’s had some success here and enters off a decent effort last week. If his putter cooperates Casey could surprise at +5000.
