With 10 games remaining on their schedule, the New York Rangers have 93 points on the season and a firm grasp on a playoff seed in the East. They currently rank 4th in the Metro, but also 4th overall in the East.
The Devils haven’t been so fortunate, sitting last in the same Metro Division, and last in the Eastern Conference overall.
New York Rangers
It’s been a committee for the Rangers’ scoring this season, with J.T. Miller leading the pack with 52 points, followed closely by Mats Zuccarello at 51.
New York has five forwards within six points of each other at the top of the score sheet.

Michael Grabner has 27 goals on the year to lead the team, with Chris Kreider (26) and Miller (20) being the other 20+ goal scorers on the roster.
Rick Nash is no longer the superstar he once was, but has a respectable 18 goals and 33 points in 59 games played. The proverbial “passing of the torch” seems to be taking place to the younger guard in the Big Apple.
Speaking of passing of the torch to the younger guard, it might not be happening quite yet in net, but Antti Raanta could very well be the goalie of the future to take over for Henrik Lundqvist.
Raanta has a 2.30 GAA and a .921 SV% in 27 appearances, where King Henrik has a 2.65 GAA and a .913 SV% in 51 games, respectively.
New Jersey Devils
Kyle Palmieri has taken over the Devils’ team-lead in points with 48, not a key for success for the team.
They’ve dealt for Taylor Hall to be the key piece, and while he’s played eight less games than Palmieri’s 69 on the year, the season is shaping up to be his second worst point-per-game pace in the past six seasons.
Palmieri also leads the way in the goals column with 25, and is the only Devil to register 20-or-more this year. The team as a whole sits 28th overall in goals per game at 2.3.
New Jersey has been slightly better on the defensive side of the game compared to their offense, currently ranking 23rd overall in goals against while allowing 2.9 on average.

There are a number of holes that will need to be addressed in the off-season, including trying to find a replacement for Adam Larsson.
In speaking of poor seasons, goaltender Cory Schneider is in the midst of his worst statistical year since becoming a full-time NHLer.
Schneider owns a .910 SV% and a 2.72 GAA with a 19-23-10 record in 2016-17, after recording a SV% of .920 or better in every year since 2010.
NHL Betting Trends:

- New York is 5-3-1 in March games
- New York is 26-9-0 on the road this year

- New Jersey is 14-14-6 at home this year
Free New York Rangers vs. New Jersey Devils NHL Hockey Prediction:
The Devils have won just one game in their last 10, and aren’t really playing for much at this point of the year except for a higher draft selection.
Taylor Hall must be frustrated by all of the losing seasons to this point, and watching his former team in Edmonton competing for a playoff spot.
4* Free NHL Betting Pick: New York Moneyline.
The Rangers should have no problem handling the lowly Devils team in the Division battle and only having to drive down the turnpike to Jersey.
