After starting the season 0-3-1, the Devils continue their surge up the standings as they get set for a battle in Calgary on Tuesday.
New Jersey has rattled off 10 wins over 13 games after their rough start and will look to do something they haven’t done in 8 years on Tuesday.

The Devils have not beat the Flames in Calgary over an 8 year span, but with the way this team is playing, that has a chance to end Tuesday night.
The Puck drops at 9:00 PM EST.
New Jersey
After missing the playoffs for 3 straight years and starting the season 0-3-1, it looked as if the Devils were going to be in for another brutal and long season.
However, that has completely changed as this Devils team has became one of the hottest ones in the NHL as they’ve won 10 of 13 and with their win Saturday now have won 4 of their last 5 as they continue to prove they are for real.

They looked absolutely flawless in a 4-0 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday. G Cory Schneider recorded a 21 save shutout and has a record of 9-4-1 on the season with a GAA of just 1.98.
Even though Schneider has won 5 of his last 7 starts, he’s been the tough luck loser against Calgary in the last two head-to-head meetings. Schneider has stopped 44 of the 47 shots he’s faced, but the Devils have only managed 1 goal in each game.
The Devils will look to improve on their 5-2 SU road record that has seem them score an average of 3.00 goals per game.
Calgary
The Flames have done just the complete opposite of the Devils thus far.
Calgary dropped 10 of their first 13 games and have yet to really gain any steam this season as they sit with a record of just 6-12-0-1. They suffered another loss on Sunday to Chicago as they failed to get any offense once again in a 4-1 loss.
This Flames team is scoring just 2.37 goals for which is well cancelled out by the 3.74 they concede.

Johnny Gaudreau, who was expected to be one of the top point getters for the Flames, was once again held scoreless on Sunday. That marked the 4th straight contest he’s been held off the scoresheet, which is the longest drought he’s faced in over a season.
Gaudreau also held a minus 5 over the Flames past road trip.
G Kari Ramo has won 3 straight against the Devils while recorded just 1.64 GAA.

Free NHL Hockey Prediction
This is a classic trap shot for the Devils. They’re playing so well and run into a struggling Flames team, but they simply cannot beat them. With the way Ramo has played against the Devils, the Flames should be able to get back on track at home.
