The New Jersey Devils look for their first win of the season when they hit the road on Saturday to take on the Lightning.
The Lightning grabbed their first win of the season in a high scoring affair against the Red Wings on Wednesday.
New Jersey Devils
The Devils lack of goal scoring is nothing new to this team.
New Jersey manufactured just 1 goal, in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Panthers. The Devils had just 24 shots on net and never got over double digits in any period.

One huge bright spot for the Devils in their 2-1 loss was G Cory Schneider. Last year, Schneider finished with a GAA of just 2.15.
Every season, Schneider has been a huge piece to the puzzle for the Devils as he always has a low GAA and a high SV%.
Defensively, Andy Greene and Ben Lovejoy got a majority of the time in the back, especially in crunch time. This duo will be asked to do a lot, especially given the struggles of the offense.
Adam Henrique and Travis Zajac are the two players to watch here. They had the most TOI for the Devils up front and will have to find some production.
Tampa Bay Lightning
The Lightning trailed 2-0 after the first period before their offense took off and added 6 goals in the final two periods.
What expects to be the theme of the season for the Lightning was the story in the season opener as they had 6 goals all from different players.
Tyler Johnson, Brian Boyle, Cedric Paquette, Alex Killorn, Jonathan Drouin, and Valtteri Filppula all tallied for Tampa Bay, as this team showed they have plenty of depth and threatening offensive players to work with.

One thing that will certainly have to improve is their defense. G Ben Bishop turned away 28 of the 32 shots faced, but the 4 goals against is a small reason for concern.
The Lightning let the Wings hang out in their zone way too long with possession. That will have to change here as they cannot let the Devils, who are a struggle offensively, to pick up any momentum early on.
