The Montreal Canadiens travel to Ottawa Saturday to take on the Senators at Canadian Tire Center. Both of these Atlantic Division foes won their season openers and hope to keep the season with a winning streak.
These two battled each other hard last year and the Canadiens took the series 2-1-0-1.
Montreal handled Buffalo on Thursday 4-1 to start their year off right. Ottawa hand a tougher time of it but came away with an overtime victory 5-4 over Montreal Wednesday.
Montreal Canadiens
Two new additions to the Canadiens played big roles in their victory over the Sabres Thursday.
Andrew Shaw scored one goal, and Shea Weber had an assist in the season opener. Brendan Gallagher was the man of the night as he scored twice and was a plus two on the night.

If Montreal is to have success this year, Gallagher should be a huge part of it.
He missed much of last year with a hand injury but was very effective (19 goals and 21 assists) while healthy.
Another player to watch is 9th overall pick Mikhail Sergachev, who logged 12 minutes of effective ice time Thursday.
Carey Price will miss the game with the flu, and Al Montoya will start in net.
Ottawa Senators
Kyle Turris saved the day for the Senators Wednesday, scoring the winning goal in overtime against the Maple Leaves. New acquisition Derek Brassard also had a great night, with one goal and one assist in 17 minutes of ice time.
Brassard could prove to be a huge addition for Ottawa. He scored 27 goals for New York last year and may top that this season.

Even with the great play of Brassard, Erik Karlsson was the best player on the ice on Wednesday.
He scored one goal and had two assists in 27 minutes. Karlsson led the league in assists last year with 66 and will be the key to success for the Senators this year.
If and when forward Clarke MacArthur returns from injury, the Senators could be formidable in the Atlantic.

Free Montreal Canadiens vs. Ottawa Senators NHL Hockey Prediction
Both teams struggle defensively and were in the bottom 10 last year in goals allowed. With Carey Price being out, it will make it even harder for Montreal to keep Ottawa’s talented offense from scoring.
If Karlsson and Brassard continue playing like they did in their season opener, this could be a long night for the Canadiens.
4* Free NHL Betting Pick: Over 5.5
The Senators will not be much better in the net with Craig Anderson, so this one will probably be a high scoring match. Anderson had a 2.78 GAA last year, and the 35-year old is not getting any younger.
If you like scoring, this one should be entertaining.
