Detroit

The red Wings are currently 6th in the Eastern Conference standings despite being pretty pedestrian on both offense and defense.

Dylan Larkin’s 14 goals doesn’t even crack the top-20 in the NHL, but he still leads Detroit in goals. Still, the Red Wings are finding a way to win games, and they’re looking to do just that when they face the disappointing San Jose Sharks.
The Red Wings have won the first two of a seven-game road trip and will look to exact revenge upon a San Jose team that beat them 3-2 in November.
Petr Mrazek is expected to get the start in this one. He comes in with a record of 13-8-3, a GAA of 2.25 and a save percentage of .926.
San Jose
The Sharks are awful, and there’s no other way to describe it. Even after their hot start, the Sharks have faded into the abyss and find themselves one point ahead of Edmonton for last place in the Pacific Division.
Despite Joe Pavelski’s All-Star season, San Jose has struggled miserably, especially at home.

The Sharks are just 5-11 at SAP Center this year, and they’ve been outscored 23-12 over their last six home games. Pavelski’s 20 goals ranks 4th in the NHL and his 38 points rank 8th.
He’s been San Jose’s best player, but he needs some help if the Sharks want to make a run at the postseason.
Martin Jones will start in net for San Jose against Detroit. Jones comes in with a 16-12-2 record, a GAA of 2.52 and a save percentage of .910.

Free NHL Hockey Prediction
It’s tough to see the Sharks bouncing back against a quality team like Detroit, especially when they’ve struggled so badly in front of their home crowd.
4* Free NHL Betting Pick: Detroit ML
The Red Wings are trying to keep pace with the Florida Panthers and they’ve started out well on their road trip. San Jose is awful at home and has lost four of its last six games overall. This is a great price for Detroit.
