The Blues and Blackhawks have had an epic series.
Chicago has staved off elimination twice now and will have a chance to steal this series and continue their trek to defending their title.
Chicago Blackhawks
Chicago trailed this series 3-1, but still felt rather confident in themselves. They had dominated Game 1, but a fluke bounce resulted in them falling in overtime 1-0.

However, fast forward to Game 6 and the Blackhawks found the back of the net 5 straight times after being down 3-1 to route the Blues and send the series back to St. Louis.
The Hawks are no stranger to erasing 3-1 leads. Back in 2013, the Blackhawks came back to defeat the Red Wings in the 2nd round 4-3.
Captain Jonathan Toews has also been no stranger to Game 7s. He tallied twice in last years against the Ducks, but has struggled here against the Blues. Toews has yet to record a goal in this series.
St. Louis Blues
The Blues have had home ice for 4 straight years in the first round of the NHL Playoffs. However, they are no in a position where they could be bounced for 4 straight seasons, despite the home ice.
St. Louis has had this series within grasp on many occasions now. After going up 3-1 in the series and then dropping Game 5, they had a 3-1 lead completely vanish in Game 6. The Blues have lost all the momentum they built up, but will at least have the home ice to look forward too.
The Blues have gone 25-14-4-1 at home this season and will have St. Louis rocking. However, blowing leads in series is nothing new to this St. Louis team.

The Blues have blown a 2-0 lead against the Kings in 2013 and then did the same against these Blackhawks in 2014.
They certainly don’t have as much Game 7 experience either. Chicago will be playing in their 18th, as they have gone 13-4. St. Louis must get out early here to keep the crowd in it throughout.

With all the momentum gone here for the Blues, this is a tough spot for them.
They get a much more experienced team in the Blackhawks in terms of Game 7’s, which doesn’t bode well for them here.
