Boston, on the second night of a back-to-back after facing Anaheim on Wednesday, continue its West Coast road trip in Los Angeles against the Kings.
Los Angeles, coming off a 2-1 win over Colorado, will look to get back on a winning streak after losing five of the last seven games.
Boston Bruins
Boston, trying to climb up the ranks in the Atlantic Division, has had a series of solid victories recently. Winning four straight, the Bruins have done so with great offense and good defense. The Bruins have 16 goals in those four games, while giving up just eight.
The team has yet to lose under new head coach Bruce Cassidy, and the Bruins look rejuvenated and hungry to get back into the playoff race in the Atlantic.

David Pastrnak continues to be an offensive force for Boston. He has 25 goals and 23 assists this season, including five goals and two assists over his last five games.
Brad Marchand has played great hockey as well and is tied with Pastrnak for the team lead in goals. He has 25 goals along with 34 assists, including two goals and three assists in his last five games.
Center Patrice Bergeron has played much better recently, scoring eight points in his last five games.
He had just 26 total in the 54 games prior, so it’s clear to see that the new head coach has helped his spirit and increased his level of play.
Los Angeles Kings
You won’t find much wrong with the Kings on defense or in goal, despite not having starting goaltender Jonathan Quick all season. Peter Budaj has done a solid job in goal this year, posting a 2.12 goals against average and helping the Kings be in the top five in goals against this season.
Los Angeles has allowed 146 goals in 59 games this year, an average 2.47 per game, putting the team 5th in the NHL in that category. Unfortunately, the offense hasn’t been able to give that defense much help.

The Kings rank 25th in the league in total goals, scoring just 145 this season, basically about the same average as what the team gives up per game. This hasn’t resulted in as many wins as a team with a great defense should have.
Jeff Carter has been the best goal scorer by far, scoring 29 goals along with tallying 24 assists on the year. He has two goals and four assists in his last five games.
NHL Betting Trends:
- Boston is 3-10 ATS in the last 13 games
- Los Angeles is 2-5 SU in the last seven games
Free Boston Bruins vs. Los Angeles Kings NHL Hockey Prediction:
The Bruins have been looking extremely good under their new head coach and the Kings have struggled as of late. I think the Bruins offense will overwhelm the Kings in this one.
