The Bucs and Saints both lost their home openers and even though early in the season this game is important for both of these NFC South rivals.
Jameis Winston was less than impressive in his first start of his career, but what was even less impressive was the Tampa Bay defense, which gave up 42 points last week.
The Saints got a good game from Drew Brees last week, but that is about it since the defense struggled and the rushing offense was nowhere to be seen.

The Bucs’ pass defense allowed rookie QB Marcus Mariota torch them for 4 TD last week and this week face Brees, who passed for 355 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT in the loss to the Cardinals.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Winston did have 210 passing yards with 2 TD in the season opening loss to the Titans, but he also was only 16/33 and he threw a pick 6 on his first pass play. His line did not play well in the game giving up 4 sacks.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins had 5 catches for 110 yards and a TD in the Tennessee game and while Winson has some weapons it is key that Tampa Bay does not get down early so they can establish the run game with Doug Martin, who had 52 yards on 10 carries in the season opener.

In their loss to the Cardinals the Saints gave up 427 total yards (307 passing yards and 120 rushing yards). New Orleans has issues on defense, especially in the secondary, so Winston may have his chances in the Big Easy this Sunday.
On top of that the Saints did not have one sack in the Arizona game and that was facing Carson Palmer, who is one of the least mobile QB’s in the league.
New Orleans Saints
The first game of the season showed the same old song and dance from the Saints with a suspect defense a lack of a rushing attack and Drew Brees having to do it all.
Well, he is a great QB, but he cannot do that.
The RB duo of Mark Ingram and Khiry Robinson combined for just 43 yards on the ground on 17 carries in the Week 1 loss to Arizona and they have to do more on the ground to take the pressure off Brees.
The Bucs have to get to Brees and if they do not he may give the Tampa Bay pass defense a big headache.

Last season the Bucs lost to the Saints twice, but both games were close and in New Orleans the Saints won in OT.
