Both teams do have a chance at their respective division titles, but the more likely of the two would be the Texans.
New York
The Jets welcomed back Rex Ryan into New York last Thursday and things do not go according to plan for them.
Ryan’s Bills raced out to an early lead and held on late for a 22-17 win. New York had cut the lead to 5 and after a fumble by the punter had a chance in the red zone to take the lead late. On 4th down, Fitzpatrick threw the ball over the tight ends head and they turned it over on downs.
The Jets had one more chance with no timeouts, but an interception at midfield doomed them.

Fitzpatrick continues to battle a thumb injury and it showed in Thursday’s loss. He finished 15 of 34 for 193 yards to go along with a pair of touchdowns and interceptions. Things don’t bode well for Fitzpatrick and his thumb this week either as he goes against a defense that shut down Andy Dalton and the undefeated Bengals last week.
WRs Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall continue to be one of the best WR duos in the NFL. Decker caught 6 passes for 85 yards and had a touchdown to his credit last week and Marshall continues to serve as a prime #1 and a decoy to get Decker open.
Houston
The door for the Texans in the AFC South is now with QB Andrew Luck out of the Colts.
With their biggest win of the season coming Monday night against Cincinnati, the Texans now sit tied atop the South with Colts and will try to get back to the .500 mark with a win over the Jets here on Sunday.
Not only is this game big for the division race, this could also have giant Wild Card implications come the stretch of the season with both teams being separated by just one game.

The problem the Texans have ran into is now they must deal with a struggle at QB. After waiving Ryan Mallet and now Brian Hoyer leaving the game with a concussion, TJ Yates is the go to guy.
Yates drove the Texans down the field for 79 yards and found DeAndre Hopkins in the end zone for a 22 yard touchdown pass which proved to be the eventual game winner.
Yates finished 5 of 11 for 69 yards in the contest.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Houston ATS
The Texans have just seemingly found ways to win at times, especially when they need it. With Yates expected at QB, the ground game will become increasingly important here. Expect a large dosage of that along with some quick outs here to get Yates comfortable.
NFL Free Score Prediction: Houston 24- New York 17
Yates leads the Texans to a close, home victory, putting them back at .500 and in the lead of the AFC South.
