After receiving plenty of rest, the New York Jets will look to build off of their momentum from their win in week 2 when they travel to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City this Sunday.
After losing a nail biter in Cincinnati, the Jets were able to win last Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills.
The Chiefs also have a 1-1 record. They opened the season at home with a 33-27 win over the San Diego Chargers, but dropped a game on the road last Sunday to the Houston Texans 19-12.
New York Jets
One guarantee that the Jets will have this week is a strong effort from running back Matt Forte.
At 30 years old, the majority of teams in the NFL would consider Forte old, but the Jets know he still has the ability to be the teams work horse and he will give everything he has on every snap of the game.
In week one against Cincinnati, Forte was involved with 27 offensive plays, including 22 carries for 99 rushing yards and 5 receptions for 59 yards receiving.
Forte was just as solid Thursday night against the Bills, for three touchdowns and 100 yards off of 30 carries.
Kansas City Chiefs
It has been reported that Jamaal Charles of the Kansas CIty Chiefs is finally ready to go this season.
He missed the majority of 2015 due to an ACL tear in his right knee and the Chiefs have made sure not to rush Charles back to early. Charles took part in team warm-ups in week two, but wasn’t a part of the loss to Houston.
The Chiefs have received a solid contribution in weeks 1 and 2 from Spencer Ware who has been filling in for Charles.
He was able to gain 70 yards on the ground and had 129 receiving yards in week one against the Chargers and rushed for an average of 5.7 yards per carry against a stingy Texans defense.
He also added 48 receiving yards to his total off of only two receptions.
Without the luxury of Jamaal Charles, Kansas City had a difficult time getting things rolling on offense last week. Both turnovers and penalties also played a huge role in the loss for the Chiefs.

The Jets are not only coming off of a big win against a divisional opponent, they have also had some extra rest and preparation for the Kansas City Chiefs after playing the Thursday night game in week two.
NFL Free Score Prediction: New York 21 – Kansas City 17
Matt Forte is firing on all cylinders and while Charles may return in week three for the Chiefs, he will still be more than rusty after missing nearly a year of football. The Jets will not only cover the spread with the extra points, they will move on as the 2-1 team after the game.
