Monday night football features a tilt between longtime a pair of upper tier NFL teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers. The Pack have not missed a beat despite an injury to wide out Jordy Nelson and are off to a quick 2-0 start.
The Chiefs despite being 1-1 have looked very good early on and will be a threat in the AFC all year long.

Action will get underway at 8:30 p.m. with veteran a pair of 2005 first round picks ling up at QB as Alex Smith (1st overall) faces off with Aaron Rodgers (24th overall). This one should be a dandy.
Kansas City Chiefs
By all accounts the Chiefs could very easily be 2-0 and this could be touted as a possible Super Bowl preview. The Chiefs looked very much in control for a lot of their game last Thursday against the Broncos.
The offense was able to move the ball fairly efficiently against a very good Broncos defense and the D sacked Peyton Manning three times while picking him off once.
A late game fumble by Jamaal Charles led to a game winning defensive score by the Broncos, but in every facet the Chiefs went toe to toe with one of the best teams in the NFL and made a strong statement that they’re going to be right there all year.

If there’s a concern with this team it’s definitely not their defense as the pass rush was very disruptive last week and made life very difficult on Peyton Manning.
The concern lies on the offensive side of the ball and while they’ve moved the ball well through Charles on the ground and Travis Kelce through the air, this team still lacks the deep threat despite the addition of Jeremy Maclin.
The Chiefs were 0 for 7 on converting third downs last week and while that can be somewhat attributed to the Broncos’ stellar play, Alex Smith’s hesitance to throw the ball deep down the field is going to make converting third and long a difficult task.
If this team wants to make the jump from good team to great, Smith and the offense have to add the threat of the deep ball.
Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in the game right now. Yes, Tom Brady has put up some gaudy numbers in the first two weeks, but if you were to pick one player to build your team around it’s very hard to argue against Rodgers.
The Packers QB has posted a 128.4 QB rating in the first two games, completing 43 of 56 passes for 438 yards, five TDs and no interceptions. And he’s doing this without his number one target, Jordy Nelson.
Put anyone around this guy and he’s going to make them better.
Where the Packers are so good is that they have depth in spades as was evidence last week against the Seahawks.
Running back Eddie Lacy went down with an apparent ankle injury and is questionable for this week, but James Starks filled in more than capably, running for 95 yards, while also catching four passes out of the backfield.
An offense that includes Davante Adams, Randall Cobb, and a rejuvenated James Jones looks to be in mid-season form already and marched up and down the field against the Seahawks without much resistance.

The defense has been a little suspect against the run and are surrendering about 150 yards per game on the ground and will be in tough against a Kansas City team that likes to pound it on the ground.
A run defense that’s a little bit soft isn’t a big deal though when you’re always in the lead and forcing teams into passing situations.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: OVER & Packers Cover
A 49 point total is really not that much for a Green Bay team that can score at will at Lambeau Field. The Packers and Rodgers are nearly unstoppable at home and this should be another win.
The Chiefs do have the ability to put up points and while they’ll likely be chasing this one, they won’t be blown out of the water.
NFL Free Score Prediction: Green Bay 34 – Kansas City 24
The over may look in jeopardy late, but I like the Chiefs to score some points late but just too late and put this one over.
