Don’t count the Jags out just yet though. Despite being just 4-8 on the season, Jacksonville sits in 3rd place, 2 games back. A win this week puts them right back in the thick of things with just 4 weeks to go.
Indianapolis
Things are in serious danger for the .500, first place Colts.
They were lit up on Sunday Night Football to the Steelers 45-10 to drop them to .500, but things got even worse for them. QB Matt Hasselbeck may be out Sunday, which would put the ball in the hands of Charlie Whitehurst.
Whitehurst came in following Hasselbeck’s injury and finished 4 of 8 for 51 yards. He was also sacked 3 times in his short tenure.

Regardless whether the injured Hasselbeck tries to go or if Whitehurst is in there, expect a lot of runs from the Colts on Sunday. RB Frank Gore will be a difference maker, but has seriously struggled lately.
Gore had just 45 yards on 13 carries last time out against Pittsburgh and hasn’t went over that mark in his past 3 games. Last time against the Jags, he had just 53 yards on 17 carries. If he can’t get things going early, the Jags will stack the box and really put pressure on whoever is quarterbacking.
Jacksonville
Jacksonville is right in this race even with just 4 wins this season.
A win on Sunday can put them right in them middle of an intense race down the stretch, but they’ve looked horrid on defense over their past 2 games. Jacksonville has dropped 2 straight, including a 42-39 slugfest last week to Tennessee.
QB Blake Bortles threw for 5 touchdowns and 322 yards, but his defense once again let him down. This season, Jacksonville is allowing 28.4 points per game.

The Jaguars have built such a promising core of receivers with Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson out wide and TE Julius Thomas. They’ve given Bortles a chance and he’s certainly taken advantage with 27 touchdowns this season.
Allen Hurns did miss last game, but has a chance to return from a concussion injury.
NFL Betting Trends:
- Colts are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.
- Colts are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game.
- Colts are 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games following a ATS loss.
- Jaguars are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
- Jaguars are 9-20-1 ATS in their last 30 home game
4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Jacksonville ATS
This Jags offense is getting better and better as the games go on.
With Hurns coming back and home field advantage, Jacksonville should be able to really get up for this one.
