Finally we get the first week of the season. Lots of anticipation here as the Colts hope they have made the right moves to keep ascending while Buffalo seems primed to finally break through and make the playoffs.
Or do they?
It is all starting on Sunday.

These teams are definitely a contrast in styles and I am curious about the Bills coming into the season.
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts keep advancing a little further every year of the Andrew Luck era and now with some veteran reinforcements to a young core they are hoping for a Super Bowl trip.
With Luck at the controls this is one of the most productive offenses in the league and they added to it with Frank Gore and Andre Johnson, plus first round speedster Philip Dorsett (Dorsett was ahead of Moncrief in the battle for the Colts’ third receiver job before he went down with an injury in week 2 of the NFL preseason).
If they have to they can score with anybody.
They may have to as the defense is not all that fierce. This group may have to get creative to put pressure on passers putting the strength of the team, the inside backers and secondary in some tough situations.

If they are on track for a title game appearance this is the type of game they should be able to take, perhaps with relative ease. Luck is not only good but I like his leadership abilities to guide this group on the road.
At the current number there are a lot of good reasons to like the Colts.
Buffalo Bills
I am loving the hype about the Bills coming into the season. I like Rex Ryan as a coach with a high level of confidence and it is hard not to like the Bills defense, which might be the best in the AFC this season.
The biggest question mark is at quarterback where they are electing to go with Tyrod Taylor, who I actually like. Why not go with the best athlete if you are looking at the group of signal callers they have to choose from.

With Taylor they will have a running threat at QB which should make things a little easier for Shady McCoy in the backfield.
This is a good matchup for the Bills even though the Colts possess one of the better attacks in the league. They are good at putting heat on the quarterback and even though Lucks puts up numbers he also eats a lot of turf.
The Bills are home dogs but if they win this one that probably won’t happen again this season. I just hope they are not looking ahead to New England next week.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Indianapolis -2.5
This is a FG game so getting the right number is key. If you keep it below 3 then going with the more established winner, Indianapolis makes the most sense.
NFL Free Score Prediction: Indianapolis 28 – Buffalo 24
I hate fading home dogs to start the season but this is the way to play this one.
