The Houston Texans have gone through a list of QBs this season, but somehow have managed to stay in the playoff race as they head into Tennessee on Sunday.
Houston still won’t know if Brandon Weeden or Brian Hoyer will be under center, but one thing is for sure, this is a must win.

Tennessee got some hurtful news when Marcus Mariota went down with an injury last week. They still want to remain cautious and will sit him out this week.
Houston
Houston has gone through maybe the most injuries to their QBs in the NFL, but still have found a way to get wins and stay atop the AFC South.
Behind Brandon Weeden this time, the Texans went into Indianapolis and grabbed their biggest win of the season, to jump into first place by themselves. Houston is still weighing it’s options out on offense as they get set for a crucial battle in Tennessee on Sunday.

If it is Brandon Weeden, at least he got some rust off in last weeks win. Weeden came in for Yates after he went down with an injury and promptly threw the game winning touchdown pass. The win sets them up as they can clinch the division with a win over the Titans, combined with a loss from Indy against Miami.
With so many questions at the QB spot, the Texans signed B.J. Daniels and will have him dressed on Sunday.
Houston has had extreme success in this series, winning 6 of 7 and 3 straight.
Tennessee
The Titans first year with Marcus Mariota calling the shots has been one to forget.
The Titans have accumulated just 3 wins and will now sit Mariota out after he walked off with an injury last week. They expected a lot of growing pains this season with the first year QB, but hope he can certainly improve quicker rather than later.

Assuming Mariota doesn’t play in the final two games, he’ll finish the season with a 62.2% completion percentage. He’s thrown for 2818 yards and 18 touchdowns. His interception numbers are up as he’s thrown 10 of them this season.
The Titans were really bad all around, but they never used home field as an advantage. Mariota and the Titans are just 1-6 SU at home this season and 2-4-1 ATS in those 7 games.
Offensively, they have no real threats out wide, just TE Delanie Walker, who has been the go to guy all season. Walker needs just 65 yards to become the first TE in franchise history to reach 1000 yards.
NFL Betting Trends:
- Texans are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 vs. AFC South.
- Texans are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
- Texans are 7-3 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
- Titans are 5-15-3 ATS in their last 23 games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.
- Titans are 6-19-3 ATS in their last 28 home games
4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Texans ATS
Houston has way more to play for, clearly. Even with Weeden this Titans team is really poor.
NFL Free Score Prediction: Houston 21- Tennessee 10
Weeden does just enough here to grab a much needed win and get Houston one step closer to the promise land.
