A pair of 1-4 teams meet up Sunday afternoon as the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars get set to do battle.
Houston continues to flip flop their QB as it remains a giant question mark how they’ll hand the Hoyer-Mallet situation.

As for Jacksonville, they have Blake Bortles solidified as their QB, but he’s yet to turn in the results they’ve wanted.
Houston Texans
It took Brian Hoyer less than a game to get benched at the start of the season. He gave way to Ryan Mallet, who struggled just as much and the Texans were put into a terrible situation.
After giving Mallet the nod last week, he went out for just 1 play and Brian Hoyer came in and remained in the game. Hoyer threw an interception with less than a minute left to put the Texans in the loss column and at 1-4.

Mallet finished 7 of 10 for just 50 yards with an interception before he had the wind knocked out of him. Brian Hoyer finished the game 24 for 31 with 312 yards and added two touchdowns to his name with that one crucial interception.
Jaelen Strong had a major break out performance as he finished with 2 receptions, with both going for touchdowns. While it may have not been a break out performance in terms of yards and receptions, Strong made two very impressive catches, including a hail mary attempt at the end of the first half.
Jacksonville
While there isn’t much of a difference in terms of where these teams are at on both sides of the ball, the Jags at least know they have their man at QB and its time for him to produce.
QB Blake Bortles once again is having trouble with his touchdown to interception ratio. His 2014 ration sat at 11 touchdowns to 17 interceptions and this season is just a little better. He’s thrown for 10 touchdowns, but also 7 interceptions.

Bortles did have a decent performance last time out as he threw for 4 touchdowns and 303 yards.
Allen Hurns finished with 5 catches for 116 yards and caught a 12 yard TD pass.
Jacksonville does have a solid defensive front working for them. Ranking 12th in the pass rush, they’ve recorded 11 sacks thus far into the season.
NFL Betting Trends:

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Jacksonville ATS
The QB controversy in Houston is a mess right now. Giving Mallet the start and sitting him because he got the wind knocked out of him is mind boggling. Yes Hoyer did play well last game, but he’s still making some bad throws.
NFL Free Score Prediction: Jacksonville 23- Houston 17
Blake Bortles builds off his 4 touchdown performance with a home, divisional win on Sunday.
