Monday Night Football will feature two of the most disappointing teams in league as the Chicago Bears head west to take on the San Diego Chargers.
Both the Bears and Chargers had aspirations of being playoff teams this season, but inconsistencies on both sides of the ball have led to their dismay this year.
Chicago comes in off a 23-20 loss to Minnesota, while the Chargers had a field goal loss themselves.
The Bears have been one of the major disappointments this year and that stems from a lot of reasons.
The main problems come on the defensive side of the ball. Chicago is allowing 28.9 points against per game and are giving up 342.3 yards per game.
While they have been picked apart on a regular basis, they may have played one of their best games defending the pass this season on Sunday.
Chicago held Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater to 17 of 30 for just 187 yards and forced him into an interception.
Offensively, the Bears have struggled and that had a lot to do with QB Jay Cutler being out. Now that he’s back, the Bears at least look like they’re an offense that knows what they’re doing.
Cutler has thrown for a touchdown in each start he’s had this year and overall has racked up 1442 yards with 8 touchdowns. His 4 interceptions can also be considered a low number for the pure fact that he rarely has time to throw in the pocket.
Like their counterpart on Monday, the Chargers are just as a mess as the Bears.
QB Philip Rivers continues to get the Chargers close to victories, but continues to come up just short. Rivers endured a game where he fell 4 yards short of tying the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau not too long ago and had the same fate against Baltimore last time out.
Rivers finished with 301 yards of passing and three touchdowns in the loss to Baltimore as he continues to put up actually decent numbers on the season.
Overall, Rivers has thrown for 2753 yards to go along with 18 touchdowns. He has thrown for 7 interceptions, which has continuously been his problem over the years.
The defense has been the main reason for failure as they’re allowing 8.2 yards per pass play and have seen the opposition throw for 14 touchdowns against them this season.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: San Diego ATS
Take the home team here. The Chargers offensively are still much better with Rivers being able to find the end zone. Chicago has a lot of work to do, especially on their offensive line that has been a mess all season long.
