A pair of experienced playoff teams meet in Week 1 as the Baltimore Ravens head west to take on the Denver Broncos, in Denver. Both teams were participants in the 2014 playoffs with the Ravens losing to the Patriots and the Broncos falling to the Colts.
Still, the defending AFC West Champions will welcome back QB Peyton Manning, who faded a bit toward the end of last year, but has rejuvenated himself and is 100% for this season.

Gary Kubiak enters his first year as Broncos head coach as John Fox was released of his duties following the early playoff exit last year.
Kubiak served as the Ravens offensive coordinator, which will provide a few awkward moments when the teams take the field on Sunday.
Baltimore Ravens
With Gary Kubiak gone, the Ravens hired Mark Trestman to take over the offensive duties and play calling.
As far the head coach spot goes John Harbaugh enters his 8th straight year as Ravens’ head man. Harbaugh has solidified himself as one of the top coaches in all of football as he has never had a losing season with the Ravens.
His worst year came in 2013 when the team finished 8-8.

QB Joe Flacco returns to the field where he had a career defining moment back in 2012. Flacco threw for 331 yards and 3 touchdowns in a wild 38-35 win in the AFC Divisional Game. Flacco heaved an 80 yard touchdown pass in the final minute of the game to secure a come from behind win.
The Ravens offense has been one of the best in the league the past couple seasons, but the defense has many questions. Ranked 23rd against the pass in 2014, the Ravens will have their hands full with Peyton Manning here in Week 1.
With the way Manning moves in the pocket, expect the Ravens to stack the box a lot and put the QB under pressure. In 2014, Baltimore had the 2nd most sacks in the league with 49.
Denver Broncos
Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos have won 4 straight AFC West titles, but have nothing else to show for their accomplishments. Denver hasn’t won a Super Bowl ring in that tenure, thus the firing of John Fox came.
Now, Gary Kubiak will take over as he gets some of the credit for turning his now competition in Week 1, Joe Flacco, into what he is today.

Kubiak walks into a solid situation in terms of offensive production as Peyton Manning is putting up ridiculous numbers. Manning hit the 4500 passing yards mark and 33 touchdown mark in 2014, which marked the 5th straight season he’s done that.
Kubiak brings in a lot knowledge with the rushing game, which could be a pivotal part in Denver’s offense and could take some pressure off Manning. CJ Anderson will get the nod there as he had a solid 2014 season with 849 yards and 8 touchdowns.
