Monday Night Football features two of the most surprising teams when the Baltimore Ravens take on the Arizona Cardinals.
Baltimore has been surprising in terms of how bad they’ve been. After making the AFC Wild Card game and winning it last year, they’ve started 1-5 and are in the cellar of the AFC North.
While Arizona was a playoff team last year, a healthy Carson Palmer has surprised many as the Cardinals are 4-2 on the year.
If the Ravens make the playoffs this season, they’ll be doing something for the first time since 1967. No team since 1967 has made the playoffs after starting the season 1-5.
Baltimore went on the road against fellow 1-4 team on Sunday in San Francisco and dropped a 25-20 game.
The first problem for Baltimore has been their defense. Baltimore allowed Colin Kaepernick to throw for 340 yards. What makes matters worse is that the 49ers are one of the worst passing team in the league. In total, the Ravens defense is allowing 380.7 yards per game.
QB Joe Flacco has kept the Ravens offense at least relevant as they rank 10th in the NFL in scoring. His main target continues to be Steve Smith Sr. who has 510 yards and 3 touchdowns to his credit.
Baltimore is 4-0 SU against Arizona in their last 4 head-to-head matchups.
After starting the season 4-0, the Cardinals have regressed and have dropped 2 straight. Sunday’s loss to Pittsburgh was a tough one to take.
Arizona fell 25-13 in a game that saw Mike Vick go down with an injury, leaving Landry Jones calling the shots. Jones picked apart Arizona as he led the comeback charge en route to the Steelers win.
QB Carson Palmer threw for 421 yards on 29 of 45 passing, but threw for a pair of interceptions to just one touchdown toss.
Palmer and John Brown have created a new, solid connection that makes this Cardinals’ offense more threatening. Brown had 10 catches for 196 yards in the losing effort to Pittsburgh.
With Fitzgerald (583 yards, 6 touchdowns) leading the way, the surge of Brown has taken a little attention off him.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Baltimore ATS
Catching over a touchdown holds value here for Baltimore. The Ravens aren’t as bad as their 1-5 record, but if they hope to right the ship and get themselves back into the AFC North, they need to start stealing games.
NFL Free Score Prediction: Arizona 24- Baltimore 23
The Ravens have their chances here, but a play or two will make the difference down the stretch as the Ravens fall by a slim margin.
