With almost everyone picking Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to win the division, it came down to the final day with the game between the Vikings and Packers deciding the outcome. Minnesota took care of business and grabbed the division.
Can they repeat?
Let’s break it down.
The Green Bay Packers are typically a favorite of the vast majority to win the division, conference, and even the Super Bowl. They deserve the praise given QB Aaron Rodgers under center.

Rodgers can do some pretty impressive things that nobody else in the entire league can do.
Heading into this season he may have a little bit more help in the backfield. RB Eddy Lacy had what was the worst season of his career, causing him to lose weight in the offseason.
Lacy is believed to be more faster and explosive, which is exactly what the Packers and Rodgers need.
Jordy Nelson will also be back, which is a huge addition. Nelson injured himself prior to the season in 2015, leaving Rodgers with slim pickings out wide. A healthy Nelson could be what this team needs to get over the top.
2016 NFC North Predictions: Minnesota Vikings
Vikings Odds to win NFC East: +235
Vikings Odds To Win 2016 NFC Conference: +900
Vikings Odds to win Super Bowl: +2000
Can Minnesota pull off another giant upset? The Vikings were given ultimately no chance last season, but went into Lambeau on the final week of the season and took down the Packers.
Now, the Vikings have much higher expectations, but a lot of motivation to get back to the playoffs. A 29 yard missed field goal in the final seconds of their game against Seattle in the playoffs saw them with an early exit.
The work load starts with RB Adrian Peterson. The talented back rushed for 1485 yards and carried this team on his back at times.
While he wasn’t asked to do much, QB Teddy Bridgewater did step up on occasions.
He’ll have the talented rookie Laquon Treadwell to throw to this season, which will certainly help him out.
2016 NFC North Predictions: Chicago Bears
Bears Odds to win NFC East: +1000
Bears Odds to Win 2016 NFC Conference: +2500
Bears Odds to win Super Bowl: +6000
Offensive Coordinator Adam Gase was the biggest lost in the offseason for the Bears. They decided to hire within and promoted Dowell Loggains, who was the QBs coach last season.
Gase will have immediate work to do as Jay Cutler is noted for being one of the most inconsistent QBs in the NFL.

Cutler has the ability to be on point and dominate a game. However, nobody knows if the good or bad Cutler will come out game by game.
Cutler is known for making treacherous mistakes. Loggains obviously knows the ins and outs of Cutler, but will have a lot more say on what goes on with his promotion.
As for the running game, taking some pressure off Cutler would be ideal. However, hope is slim as this one of the worst running games in the NFL. Jeremy Langford doesn’t have the breakaway speed or ability to take charge in a game.
If they can get any sort of consistent production from the backfield, who knows how successful this team can be.
2016 NFC North Predictions: Detroit Lions
:Lions Odds to win NFL East: +1000
Lions Odds to Win 2016 NFC Conference: +3200
Eagles Odds to win Super Bowl: +7500
The Detroit Lions had one of the most dramatic off-seasons that they weren’t even ready for.
One of the best WRs in the game decided to unexpectedly call it quits as Calvin Johnson announced his retirement. This leaves the Lions extremely thin and with so many questions heading into this season.
The Lions have completely retooled their front office, starting with a new GM in Bob Quinn. After last years 1-7 start to the season, Detroit decided the complete house-cleaning is what the team needed.
They head into this season with QB Matthew Stafford being asked to do a lot more with very little.
He’ll have Golden Tate and WR Marvin Jones, who was the Lions biggest off-season move, to work with out wide.
Running back Ameer Abdullah will get the main RB role, as the Lions decided it was best to cut ties with Joique Bell. He’ll have to overcome a lot of ball security questions, which has always been his struggle.
Cappers Picks 2016 NFC North Predictions
Realistically as always, it’s the Packers division to lose.
Despite last seasons slip up, Green Bay is far more talented than the Vikings. With WR Jordy Nelson back and this Green Bay team completely healthy, they have a lot of good things in store for them.

Minnesota will certainly have to get off to a hot start to compete. As for the Lions and Bears, they’ll need everything to fall into place and then some to stay relevant.
Green Bay is a solid play here as the price isn’t as juiced as it maybe should be.
