2016-2017 Ravens Preview & NFL Future Lines
Looking for 2016 Baltimore Ravens Predictions? We’ve got your back. 2015 was John Harbaugh’s first losing season as head coach of the Baltimore Ravens. A big part of that was all the injuries the team endured, with a team-record 20 players landing on injured reserve by the end of the year, leading to over 100 roster transactions.

Among the players on the I.R were quarterback Joe Flacco, running back Justin Forsett, top wide receiver Steve Smith Sr., first-round wide receiver Breshad Perriman, offensive tackle Eugene Monroe, and linebacker Terrell Suggs.
What that means for bettors is when projecting what to expect from the 2016 Ravens, everything we think we know about the team based on their 2015 performance needs to be thrown out the window.
2016 Ravens Roster Changes
Losing offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele hurts. He was one of the most underrated lineman in football during his time with the Ravens. Couple that with the team cutting Monroe and there could be some trouble up front.
Ronnie Stanley was drafted in the first round to fill in for Monroe at left tackle.
Eric Weddle is a good veteran addition in the secondary, and joins a franchise famous for breeding one of the NFL’s all-time great center-fielders in Ed Reed.

Ben Watson certainly isn’t as good a receiver as last year’s numbers would indicate, but he’s a solid addition to what was a thin tight end corps last season.
Bringing in Mike Wallace to occupy the vacated Torrey Smith role in the offense seems like a good fit.
Teddy Bridgewater couldn’t get the ball out to Wallace in Minnesota the way he’d like, but Flacco certainly has the arm to match Wallace’s speed.
2016 Baltimore Ravens Predictions: Offense
If we’re throwing out everything that happened to the Ravens a year ago, then we need to give a pass to offensive coordinator Marc Trestman, who enters his second season in Baltimore.
Trestman likes to throw the ball, and endured six games without Flacco under center.
It’s tough to know what to expect from Smith coming off an Achilles injury, but Wallace and eventually Perriman give the team a good pair of deep threats.

Kamar Aiken has proven himself to be a viable option in the passing game, with Watson helping out on short and intermediate routes also.
Watson may also get pushed at tight end by sophomore Maxx Williams and possibly Dennis Pitta.
Forsett had the backfield to himself before getting hurt, but will now have to share it with the emerging Buck Allen and rookie Kenneth Dixon.
2016 Baltimore Ravens Predictions: Defense
The pass rush is what’s made this defense go in recent seasons, so how Suggs fares in his return from injury to help Elvis Dumervil will be key.
2016 draft pick Kamalei Correa is a player to watch – he could be asked to put his hand in the ground, or possibly spend time at inside linebacker beside C.J. Mosley.
Weddle will be paired with Lardarius Webb, who makes the favorable move from cornerback to safety.
The team set a franchise record for fewest interceptions a year ago, so getting a little younger at cornerback should hopefully lead to more plays being made on the outside.
2016 Baltimore Ravens Analysis:
Expecting a repeat of last year’s 5-11 season would be foolish. So much went wrong a year ago that five wins is almost impressive.

Besides, the last three times the Ravens came off a losing season, they followed it up by winning 10, 13, and 11 games.
This is an established franchise that doesn’t accept losing.
Age is a concern, with some many key players having already celebrated their 30th birthday, but the injuries are unlikely to repeat in the way they hit the team in 2015.
The AFC North is tough this season, so a gaudy win total is likely out of the question, but 10 or 11 wins seems like an achievable mark, even if that may only land the team the third spot in their own division.
