NBA Betting – Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Finals 2016 NBA Finals Series Preview and Picks
Without Kevin Love or Kyrie Irving in 2015, Lebron James took the Warriors to the brink, but eventually fell in 6 games. He’ll now get a chance at redemption, with his two other Big 3 members along side him this time around.
Golden State went down 3-1 to the Thunder and it looked like they would be bounced. After a route in Game 5, they stole Game 6 in come from behind fashion and erased a 13 point deficit in Game 7 to clinch a spot.
Cleveland saw the Raptors even things up at 2-2, but that was as close as they would get as the Cavs took both Games 5 and 6 to clinch another spot in the Finals.
Who’s got the edge in this series?
Let’s break it down.

Warriors vs. Cavaliers Free Series Prediction: Guards
Cleveland’s guard set is much more dangerous than last year in the Finals.
Kyrie Irving, JR Smith, Iman Shumpert, and Matthew Dellavedova headline this talented crew.
Dellavedova proved himself last year in the Finals as he played significant minutes and stepped up in a big way against Curry. He’ll still see those minutes, but will have a lot of help with him.
Irving, who missed action in the Finals last year, is the biggest difference. His offensive production is extremely important here.
Golden State is headline by Steph Curry and Klay Thompson obviously.
They have built solid depth behind them that has been the biggest key to success. Shaun Livingston is the biggest guy off the bench here as he provides both offensive spark and a solid defensive presence.
Verdict: Golden State typically has the edge over any team in the guards department, but with the Cavaliers completely healthy this season, things are different. This is a dead heat here in terms of edge.
Warriors vs. Cavaliers Free Series Predictions: Forwards & Center
Like Irving, Kevin Love will get his first look at the Warriors in the playoffs after being injured last year. That provides such a giant boost to help Lebron James. Love offers a rebounding and deep threat presence, that the Cavaliers lacked last year.
Tristan Thompson will also be a giant key. He and Channing Frye split time as both offer very different styles of play. For them, defense will be crucial as they cannot allow the Warriors to get 2nd and 3rd chances.
For the Warriors, Draymond Green has avoided suspension twice now. He is the biggest key for the Warriors big men, but will likely have Lebron on him, which will make life difficult for him.
Andrew Bogut and Harrison Barnes didn’t provide a giant boost offensively against the Thunder, but their rebounding, especially against Thompson, will be a big difference maker in this series.
Verdict: Cleveland has a lot of talent down low. Lebron, Love, and Frye can all shoot and get to the hoop. Thompson provides that inside presence that can grab rebounds. Aside from Green, the Cavaliers have many more weapons and get the edge here.
Warriors vs. Cavaliers Free Series Predictions:
Cleveland and Golden State provided quite the entertaining Finals last year.
Given Cleveland’s health, this one is going to be extremely fun.
Look for this one to be a back and forth series with so many close games and momentum shifting at will here. This one goes the distance, with Game 7 completely up for grabs.
Cleveland in 7.
