The Cleveland Cavaliers finished their last 2 series in only 4 games, the past two series it has taken the Raptors 7 games in each to finish off their opponents.
And I believe that showed last night.
The Raptors came out guns a blazing, for only a quick period of time. Then when Lebron and the Cavs made a big run on them, you could tell the Raptors had nothing left in them.
We’ll see if another day off can help this Raptors team take one in Cleveland.
Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptors were cold all around in Game 1, and didn’t get the production that was needed. They were led in scoring by DeMar DeRozan who had 18 points and 5 assists.
All-star guard Kyle Lowry had fits with the Cavaliers all night, where he only had 8 points and 5 assists. The Cavaliers did a good job of throwing many different guys at these guys the entire night.

It looks that Cleveland will want Irving to be off of Lowry as much as possible this series so it doesn’t affect his offensive game, and it doesn’t look like Lowry will be able to be efficient on that side of the floor as Kyrie did what he wanted last night.
The Raptors Patrick Patterson seemed to be playing hard lastnight, and started off hot in the game. But he quickly cooled off and only scored 8 points and grabbed 2 rebounds.
In order for the Raptors to be in game 2 I see a couple things needing to happen. They need to hit the glass better. Bismack Biyombo can be a force down low on the glass, but no one was for the Raptors last night while they were pounded on the glass by Cleveland, 45-23.
Also the Raptors need to be more efficient behind the 3 point arch. They only shot 20.8% from that range.
We will look to see on Thursday what kind of adjustments that The Raptors bring to the table in Cleveland.
Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers did not let the days off affect them a single bit it seemed like.
They were firing on all cylinders, although their three point production was down to only making 7 three pointers in the game. That number was down from the 20 3 pointers made in multiple games in the Atlanta series.
The Cavs were led in action by Kyrie Irving. Irving led the way with 27 points and 5 assists in 20 minutes of action. Lebron James was very effective in game 1 where he didn’t miss a bucket until the 3rd quarter of play.
He ended the night with 24 points and 6 rebounds, only playing 28 minutes in the game.
This Cavaliers team got production off the bench in a big way, where 6 players were able to score points in this blowout win.
In order for the Cavaliers to win game 2, they do not need to change much.
This Cavs team seems to be jelling very well and believe they will be peaking at the right time. Look for Irving and James to be the dominant part of the win, but look for guys like Channing Frye and Kevin Love to produce more like they did in the Atlanta series.

Also look for the Cavaliers to keep Lebron and Kyrie’s minutes down again this game.
Its tough to look ahead to another series, especially in game 2, but it seems that the second five of this roster can beat the Raptors.
Look for Delly, Shumpert, and Richard Jefferson to have a rise in minutes in game 2.

Free Toronto Raptors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Prediction:
This series is not going to be exciting at all compared to the Golden State/Oklahoma City series. This Cavaliers team is just playing at such a high level for this tired Raptors team to be competitive for a long period of time.
The Raptors are a really good team, but they cannot matchup to the level of play that Irving and Lebron bring to this series.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Cavs -12.5
Look for them to take over again in game 2 and look for the Cavaliers to get out of Cleveland without any blemishes, as they head to Toronto for game 3.
The Cavaliers will make quick work of this Raptors team just like you saw in game 1.
