The Memphis Grizzlies will attempt to bounce back as they host the San Antonio Spurs for Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals. The Spurs are currently up 2-0 over the Grizzlies, and they won both games soundly by double-digits.
San Antonio has also dominated the all-time series with Memphis 81-26, including a 16-4 record in the postseason.
The Spurs continued to display their understated greatness on Sunday, leading for all but 13 seconds of Monday’s Game 2. San Antonio finished the regular season with a record of 61-21 which was good enough for the 2nd seed in the Western Conference.
The Grizzlies continued to play well defensively, only to be let down again by a lack of any offense in Game 2. Monday’s 96-82 loss at San Antonio was their 10th straight postseason loss to the Spurs.

The Grizzlies did not end the regular season on a high note, finishing at 43-39 and gaining the 7th seed in the West.
San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs may be the most balanced team in the NBA, and they have put on impressive displays on both sides of the ball in the last two games.
Granted, the Grizzlies offense is far from elite, but the Spurs have done a great job of neutralizing the few weapons they have.
San Antonio shot just under 46% from the field on Monday and 39% from three-point range. In the regular season, the Spurs averaged 105.3 points per game which ranked 14th in the league.

The Spurs ranked 2nd in the NBA in scoring defense, allowing only 98.1 points per game. They held the Grizzlies to only 82 points in both games so far.
MVP candidate Kawhi Leonard led the way on Monday with a playoff career-high 37 points along with 10 rebounds. Leonard scored the majority of those points from the free-throw line, going 19-19 at the line.
LaMarcus Aldridge, Tony Parker, Danny Green and Pau Gasol also contributed double-digit points.
Memphis Grizzlies
The Grizzlies will host their first home game of the 2017 playoffs, and they hope that the home-court can give them the spark they need in this series. Their offense has been completely absent so far, and the Grizz have scored only 82 points in both games.
Memphis was held to 37.8% from the field and 25.9% from three-point range in Monday’s loss. Perhaps their best moment of the game was head coach David Fizdale’s mic-drop moment in the post game press conference.
The Grizzlies have lacked offense all year, scoring only 100.5 points per game in the regular season, which ranked only one spot out of dead last in the league. On the other end, they allowed only 100 points and ranked 3rd in scoring defense.

Mike Conley provided the majority of the offense on Monday with 24 points and eight assists on 8-18 shooting. Zach Randolph was also effective off the bench with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Marc Gasol and Vince Carter both added 12 points in the loss.
NBA Betting Trends:

- Home Team is 7-3 ATS in last 10 meetings
Free Game 3 San Antonio Spurs vs. Memphis Grizzlies NBA Prediction:
The Spurs have been dominant in this series so far, but the Grizzlies are a different team at home. The bench players are always more effective at FedEx Forum, and they should provide enough offense to keep the Grizz in the game.
I expected Memphis to get one game in this series, and this would be the time for it.
