The Golden State Warriors improved to 22-0 on Sunday, and the biggest question in the NBA is whether or not Stephen Curry has become the best player in basketball, passing the incumbent great LeBron James to carry that mantle.
The Warriors can get to 23-0 on Tuesday night when they visit the Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in search of their 27th consecutive regular-season victory. There they’ll meet the top scorer in the Eastern Conference in Paul George.
A win for the Warriors would give them another distinction as the first team in NBA history to win all seven games of a seven-game road trip.
Golden State Warriors:
The Warriors can also become the first team in NBA history to start the season 13-0 on the road, and would also match the Miami Heat’s total of 27 consecutive victories from 2012-13.
The team got a serious test from the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, watching a 17-point lead evaporate and trailing by five points in the third quarter of that one.
Curry helped the team pull away from there, scoring 16 of his 28 points in the third quarter in an eventual 114-98 win.
Curry leads all scorers in the NBA with 32.4 points per game, and has 84 over his last two games.
Curry will likely be guarded by George Hill of the Pacers, but he’ll also be facing off with Paul George, the Pacers star who is averaging 27.6 points per game, which is tops in the East. He scored a career-high 48 points in a 122-119 overtime loss at the Utah Jazz on Saturday.
The Pacers will be looking for their seventh win in a row at home in this one.
The Warriors lead the league in 3-point shooting, but the Pacers rank second in the NBA, hitting on 40.1 percent of their shots from beyond the arc.
NBA Betting Trends:
- The over is 6-0 in the Warriors’ last six games overall.
- The over is 8-0 in the Warriors’ last eight road games.
- The over is 4-1 in the Pacers’ last five games against Western Conference opponents.
- The over is 6-2 in the Pacers’ last eight games overall.
Free NBA Prediction:
The Warriors’ 115.1 points per game lead the league, but the Pacers aren’t that far off. For the season, Indiana is scoring 103.3 points per game, and that’s only been bumped up of late.
Over their last eight games, the Pacers are scoring 112.8 points per game.

There’s going to be a playoff-like feel to this one, but both of these teams respond to that scenario by scoring points in bunches. This year’s Pacers team is vastly different from past editions which prided themselves on defense, as this group likes to play at a faster pace.
