This year’s 75-lap exhibition Sprint Unlimited is set to get underway at 8 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast nationally on FOX.
Kyle Busch took the checkered flag in last November’s final Sprint Cup point race at Homestead-Miami to lay claim to the 2015 title, but past champions such as Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick and Brad Keselowski will be looking to get off to a fast start in 2016 as some of the top drivers in the field for this year’s Sprint Unlimited.

The following is a look at my top favorite, contender and longshot to win this Saturday night’s race based on betting odds provided by Bovada Sportsbook.
NASCAR Sprint Unlimited Odds Favorite (odd of less than 10/1)
There are only two drivers in Saturday night’s field that fall into the favorite’s category with Dale Earnhardt Jr. listed at +600 odds to win followed by Jimmie Johnson at +800.
Both of these Sprint Cup veterans are more than capable of laying claim to the checkered flag in this exhibition race, but I am going with Dale Jr. and the No. 88 car as my top pick.
This team posted three victories last season in a point race and one of them came on this track in the second race of the season at Daytona.

This has always been one of Junior’s favorite tracks and he always seems to rise to the occasion when Speed Week rolls around.
NASCAR Sprint Unlimited Odds Contender (odds from 10/1 to 19/1)
Kevin Harvick at +1000 betting odds offers some tremendous value as my top contender to win this race. He finished a close second to Busch in that final race last season after making a run to the Sprint Cup title in 2014.
All told, he guided the No. 4 car to three checkered flags and another 13 second-place finishes in 2015 to easily establish himself as the most consistent driver in the entire Sprint Cup series.
I fully expect Harvick to be right in the mix on Saturday night after placing second in the past two Sprint Unlimited events.
NASCAR Sprint Unlimited Odds Longshot (odds 20/1 or greater)
There is a good mix of experience and youth in the longshot category of this year’s Sprint Unlimited and, given the nature of this race, there is also some solid value to be found in the odds.
You could go with veteran drivers such as Clint Bowyer and Greg Biffle at +3000 or try and bank on a former Daytona 500 winner with a play on Jamie McMurray at +2500. I decided to completely roll the dice in the first betting event of the new season with Austin Dillon at +2500 as my top-valued longshot.
This will be his third full-time season in the Sprint Cup series and, while he has yet to live up to all the hype of taking over the reins of the No. 3 car, I still think it is worth a small play with a nice bet on this week’s NASCAR Sprint Unlimited Odds that he starts to finally shake things up with a win this Saturday night.
