The Miami Hurricanes are coming into this season with high hopes, they have a very solid squad with a QB coming off of a great freshman season, with the experience Brad Kaaya got in his freshman year, he should perform even better in his 2nd season.
He didn’t disappoint in the first game of the season as Miami routed the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats 45 – 0. The Hurricanes are justifiably coming into this match-up as a large favorite, -17.5.

The Florida Atlantic University Owls had a barn burner in their first match of the season, they played Tulsa, losing by a score of 47 – 44. FAU has shown great skill and ability in moving the ball on offense, but their defense is lacking horribly this season.
The Owls won’t be able to perform against Miami the same way they did against Tulsa and expect it to be close, they will need a new more defensive minded strategy, because they aren’t going to outscore Kaaya and Miami.
These two school met two years ago with Miami dominating 34 – 6.
Miami (FL)
Miami just completely outplayed the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats in their easy first game of the season, this FAU squad shouldn’t cause to many problems to Miami as well.
However, Miami is coming into this game with some bad news, one of the teams best receivers Stacy Coley got injured last game and is listed as questionable for this game against FAU.
Quarterback Brad Kaaya had a very solid freshman year with the Hurricanes and will be looking to do better in his Sophomore season. In his first game of the season Kaaya was 16 – 27 for 173 yards, 59% completion, 2 TDs and zero INTs.
Miami as a team put up 195 rushing yards on 26 carries for an average of 7.5 yards per carry. Mark Walton led the way with 85 yards on 10 carries. Rashawn Scott led the team in receiving with 100 yards on 6 receptions.

The Hurricanes are a strong contender in the ACC this season, both their defense and offense are only going to get better than they were last year and it should create a very formidable squad.
Florida Atlantic University
The FAU Owls’ offensive really showed up last game. If you score 44 points and still lose, your defense blew the game. That’s exactly what happened here as the Owls lost 47 – 44.
Owl quarterback Jaquez Johnson had a great game completing 67.6% of his passes, 23 – 34, tossed for 263 yards with 2 TDs and zero INTs.
Jenson Stoshak led the team in receiving, with 7 receptions for 114 yards and a long of 45 yards, more than doubling any other receiver’s total yards.
Greg Howell led the group in rushing with 22 carries for 138, the Owls ran for a total of 300 rushing yards. QB Johnson had a big part in that, with 20 carries for 97 yards, Johnson can do it all offensively.

In their opener the FAU Owls had a total of 44 points on 563 total yards, and allowed 47 points on 618 total yards.

Week 2 NCAA Football Prediction
I fully expect Miami to come out and dominate FAU from the start in this match-up. FAU had their fun scoring at will against a sloppy Tulsa team and they still lost the game. I believe FAU will have a very hard time moving the football against this big and physical defensive line of Miami.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Miami FL -17.5
Expect Miami to completely shut down the Owl’s attack, it all goes through their QB Johnson, he had 34 pass attempts and 20 rushes in their first game. Miami definitely have the capability of causing him serious problems with their pass rushing and big D-Line. Miami held Bethune-Cookman to only 79 total yards, 26 passing and 53 rushing you could expect more of the same Saturday.
Week 2 Score Prediction: Miami FL 51 – FAU 6
