Texans Super Bowl Odds
Houston Texans +7500
9-7
1st AFC South
The Houston Texans had the benefit of being in one of the worst divisions in the NFL. Houston grabbed a huge road win against the Andrew Luckless Colts in Week 16 which put them in the drivers seat for the division. This Houston team certainly won’t wow you, but they win games by grinding it out and wearing the opposition down.

Things won’t be easy for them right from rip as they take on a Chiefs team that has won 10 straight games and has shown no signs of slowing down. They’ll have the benefit of home field advantage though in their first game, which is at least some good news for them.
JJ Watt
The Pro Bowl linebacker has done just about everything he possibly can since joining the Texans.

Watt recorded a ridiculous 17.5 sacks this season and will likely win his 3rd NFL Defensive Player of the Year award. Watt paced a defense that had a franchise record 47 sacks on the season. Look for him to cause havoc in the oppositions’ backfield all postseason long.
The AFC Is Winnable
The AFC is by no means overpowering to the point where the Texans can’t cause some havoc.

Kansas City may have won 10 straight, but they’ll get them in Houston where they play much better. Denver’s offense hasn’t been overpowering by any means. The Bengals are sitting without Andy Dalton. Each team has either a key injury or a flaw that the Texans can certainly expose.
DeAndre Hopkins
The star wide receiver has certainly been a clutch factor for the Texans this season. He’s helped them through all the QB injuries as he has the ability to make a play and get plenty of yards after the catch.
Hopkins had 1521 yards to go with 11 touchdowns on the season. Hopkins did everything he was asked to do as he was always paired with the opposing teams best defensive corner.
He will make his plays down field and if he can get some space, look out.
Can’t Stop Won’t Stop
The Texans have face adversity all season long and have shown that nothing can get them down.
Through all the QB injuries, the Texans used Ryan Mallet, Brian Hoyer, TJ Yates, and Brandon Weeden this season.
They also started the season off at 2-5. Thanks to a struggling division, the Texans used a 7-2 finish to grab the title. They rattled off 3 straight to finish the season as well. This team never game up and never stopped fighting. That kind of determination is what they’ll need this postseason.
A True Underdog Story
The Texans are certainly bottom of the barrel in terms of the playoff teams. With the highest odds to win the Superbowl, Houston will try to pull off a cinderella type run and cause some havoc this postseason.

Houston will likely be underdog in every game they play this postseason. This is one of those situations where they are playing with nothing to lose. The biggest underdogs and everybody already counting them out….this is a sure recipe for the Texans to play loose and really silence some people.
