1. Been there, done that –

The Pats have been to the big game so many times big pressure games are ho-hum for them, as they do not daunt them.
2. Tom Brady runs the team –
Brady has four Super Bowl rings and while his WR corps was decimated this season by injuries He still passed for the 3rd most yards in the NFL.
On the season he passed for 36 TD and only had 7 INT, so he does not make many mistakes that cost the team. Oh yeah, he won the Super Bowl MVP last season as well.

3. Rob Gronkowski is healthy for a change –
Gronk was Brady’s main target this season and he had a big one with 72 catches for 1,176 yards and 11 TD. He is a nightmare match up for any opposing defense and he has a knack for making the big play when the Pats need it.
4. The defense will help Brady out –
New England ranked 17th in the league this season in passing yards per game and 9th in rushing yards per game.
However, in the important stat they ranked solid 10th in opponents’ points per game and that is very good considering their offense ranked 3rd in the league in scoring.
Last season in the AFC title game they only gave up 7 points and in the Super Bowl they gave up 24 points.
Still, with Brady and company they have averaged nearly 29 ppg this season.
Also, while Brady got the Super Bowl MVP and he gets all the press it was their goal-line interception last in the game that sealed the Pats Super Bowl win last season.
5. Sticking it to the NFL –
The Patriots had to deal with Deflate-Gate last season and while Tom Brady had his 4-game suspension lifted it still cost the Patriots $1 million and their 2016 first and 4th round draft picks.

Brady and Belichick do not have short memories.
After their last scandal in Spy-Gate the Pats went undefeated the next season and advanced to the Super Bowl where the Giants upset them.
That will not happen this season, deflated balls or not, as they will defend their Super Bowl crown.
