This Big Ten matchup should be a good one as two of the favorites in the West Division face off in Iowa City.
Wisconsin is coming off of a heartbreaking overtime loss to Ohio State, while Iowa beat up on an improving Purdue team.
Wisconsin Badgers
Redshirt Freshman Alex Hornibrook is getting all this praise as freshman QB in big games, but I don’t think he has shown much as a dynamic passer.

Against the Buckeyes he was 16-28 for 214 yards with a touchdown pass and an interception (there would have been a really bad second one at the end of the fourth if the call on the field wasn’t overturned).
This season’s numbers have not been eye opening, or anything to show that you can trust him to win a game. I look for him to struggle in Iowa City and not get into a rhythm.
Give credit to head coach Paul Chryst for coming up with unique ways to run the ball with Corey Clement. The workhorse back had 25 carries for 164 yards.
There were two and 3 tight end sets that made the Buckeyes defensive front seven second guess where the ball was going to go a number of times throughout the game.
He should have another big game against the Hawkeyes and finish with 135 yards and a score.

The Badgers defense shut down the Ohio State offense in the first half.
Keep them out of the end zone and holding star QB JT Barrett in check.
The second half was a much different story as Barrett was able to use his scrambling ability to keep plays alive, run for two scores, and throw the game winning touchdown pass in overtime.
This week against the Hawkeyes T.J. Watt and company should be able to bring pressure and make life miserable for the Hawkeyes offensive line.
Iowa Hawkeyes
In the shootout with Purdue, quarterback CJ Beathard played well enough to avoid the upset. He completed only 10 passes for 140 yards but did throw 2 touchdown passes.
He faces one of the best pass rushing teams in the country and unless the offensive line steps up to the challenge, expect TJ Watt to get 2 sacks in this one.
The rushing attack was the key to victory last week.
LeShun Daniels Jr. ran the ball 24 times for 156 yards with two scores, and backup Akrum Wadley added 14 carries for 170 yards and 25 yards receiving.
These two backs will be the key to a victory in this game.
If they can have the same effect running the ball that Barrett and Curtis Samuel had against the Badgers Iowa should pull off the upset.

After giving up 35 points to Purdue you would expect the defense to come back with a strong effort against the Badgers.
I believe the Iowa front seven will cause Hornibrook to throw the ball a lot sooner than he would like, forcing bad passes and a few turnovers.
The running game will be the main point of attack so look for the Hawkeyes to load up the box to shut down Clement and make the Badgers beat them through the air.
