While last weekend was one of the best college football weeks in some time, it helped people forget about the egg that Stanford laid Friday night in Washington.

In a game that very well could end up deciding the Pac 12, Stanford got manhandled by Washington and dropped from 7 to 15 in the rankings.
Speaking of manhandling, Washington State dominated Oregon to put the Ducks to sleep following their third straight loss.
The Cougars will see if they can continue that performance against another Pac 12 powerhouse or maybe this game will show that Oregon’s team this season can’t be called a Pac 12 powerhouse.
Washington State Cougars
The Cougars dominated Oregon from start to finish and evened the Cougars record at 2-2 heading into this matchup with Stanford.
The Cougars followed a very disappointing loss in Week 1 to Eastern Washington with a 3 point loss at Boise State.
They then routinely blew out Idaho before unexpectedly blowing out Oregon last week.
The Cougars are a tough team to read though as they year after year will be ready to go for some big games and look lost in others.
The Cougars had Stanford on the ropes last season but missed a potential game winning field goal as time expired to fall 30-28.

Luke Falk threw for 354 yards and 2 touchdowns in the matchup last season but also threw 2 interceptions including a costly one late in the fourth as the Cougars tried to hold their 1 point lead.
Falk has been on fire this season throwing for nearly 1500 yards with 12 touchdowns in Washington State’s first four games.
The Cougars – like very few teams – did a great job with Christian McCaffrey last season limiting him to just 133 total rushing and receiving yards.
They will need Falk to play as he has thus far and the defense to limit McCaffrey similarly to pull off back to back conference upsets.
Stanford Cardinal
In one of the more disappointing performances in David Shaw’s tenure at Stanford, the Cardinal had a chance to take a hold of the Pac 12 and not only failed to do that but failed to do much of anything.
While Kevin Hogan didn’t exactly light up the scoreboard last season, the Cardinal missed his experience and ability to open the field for McCaffrey last week.
Washington may have set a blueprint to slow down McCaffrey but they also have the defensive talent to do it.
I don’t think anyone is imagining McCaffrey getting shutdown in consecutive games after totaling just 79 rushing and receiving yards last week.

Shaw is 9-1 ATS following a loss and you can imagine he will have Stanford ready this week after not appearing even slightly ready last week.
Washington could prove to be a national title contender so a loss to them isn’t one to be embarrassed about. However, the performance Stanford put on in the game was embarrassing.
NCAA Football Handicapping Trends

Free Week 6 NCAA Football Prediction
It has been proven that Stanford is not a difficult place to play as the stadium doesn’t always fill up and the crowd isn’t intimidating.
Falk has been red hot and even a determined and angry Stanford team may not be ready to slow him down.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Washington State ML
Late night Pac 12 games are usually only for bettors that maintained a hold on their bankroll throughout the day games. However, this one has some value as the Washington State offense is rolling and could pull off the upset.
I like the Cougars to win.
