The Utah State Aggies get another crack at Chris Peterson – this time a Husky and longer a conference rival Bronco.
The tough Aggie defense marches into Seattle to take on the young and hungry Huskies, who just posted their first shut out in 2 seasons after blanking Sacramento State.

With the Huskies finding their rhythm last week offensively and Utah State getting back a couple of suspended star players, this week’s matchup could be closer than many anticipate.
On the other hand, it could be a tuneup for the Huskies heading into Pac-12 action next week if they play like they did last week.
Utah State
When you think of Utah State, you think of Chuckie Keeton. The 5th year quarterback is back this season after just playing in 5 games over the Aggies’ last 2 seasons. It’s been a slow start for him and the offense, but the return of wide receiver Hunter Sharp and left guard Tyshon Mosley could provide a much needed boost to the stagnant unit.
On the season, Keaton has a 55.9% completion percentage to go with his 366 yards, 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
Wide receiver Devon Robinson has been his biggest target thus far, making 9 catches for 148 yards. The return of Sharp is going to be a big boost for both Keeton and Robinson, helping take a little pressure off the stagnant offense.

The Aggie defense is 15th in the nation in total defense, only allowing an average of 245 yards per game. As a collective unit, they have tallied 154 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 8 passes defended and broken up and a blocked kick.
Nick Vigil, the team’s star linebacker, racked up 25 of those tackles as well as 3 for loss with a QB hit. Nose guard David Moala has 11 tackles, 2 for loss, a sack and the team’s blocked kick.
Washington
Chris Peterson’s youngsters finally showed last week why the head coach is so high on them. Jake Browning racked up 326 yards through the air and two touchdowns before being taken out of the game in the third quarter.
Freshman Myles Gaskin ran for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns. Dwayne Washington added 2 more touchdowns on the ground to go with his 13 yards.

Receivers Marvin Hall and Chico McClatcher each had one catch with Hall’s going for 78 yards and a score and McClatcher’s going for 49 yards and a score. Tight end Joshua Perkins lead the team with 5 receptions totaling 77 yards.
Azeem Victor is leading the team in tackles with 14, including one for loss. Cory Littleton has 11 tackles, with 3 for loss and a quarterback sack. Joe Mathis has 6 tackles, 2.5 for loss with a sack as well as a forced fumble and fumble recovery.
The Husky defense has racked up 3 blocked kicks this season already.

Free Week 3 NCAA Football Prediction
It seems like a no-brainer to take Washington and the points, but anything is possible with a team this young and a 5th year quarterback at the helm of the opponent.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Washington -5.5
This could very easily be a trap game if the Huskies don’t take this seriously. I don’t expect that to happen, though as they win big again.
